I really wanted to like this place but almost everything was bad. After being seated at an an extremely wobbly table we were ignored for more than 10 minutes before a drink order being taken. My margarita was watered down and there was no sugar for my son's iced tea. We ordered queso with chorizo which was decent but we ran out of chips after just a few bites. We finally got our waitresses attention to ask for more but she never brought them so we wasted our money on that as it was cold by the time our food came.. We waited 40 minutes for our dinner and the waitress didn't stop at our table once to check on us or offer drink refills. There were two waitresses and only 8 tables so I don't know what the problem was. The food was mediocre. The chips and salsa taste prepackaged, my enchiladas were made with flour tortillas so they were very gummy, the street tacos were tiny, and the rice was bland. It was expensive and not worth it. I don't think the "new management" has helped. I have no desire to return.

I got the Fiesta Bowl. It had a homestyle taste and felt healthier than other restaurant food. My meal was $13.99 before tax. I tend to prefer larger portions than they served me. I also prefer more heavily seasoned/spicier food. Their staff was friendly. Their only diet beverage option was diet coke. So we had water. My wife was delighted with her meal. It was the perfect size portion for her. They were great about helping her customize her meal per her request. The bathrooms were clean. It was hot outside today. Their air-conditioning was adequate. My wife thought their air conditioning was excellent. The prices seemed a little high considering the portion size and decor. However, I realize that inflation is changing a lot of things. My wife thinks they prepared the shrimp, onions, peppers, and rice that she had perfectly.

Just okay. Margaritas were good but very small even for the $4 happy hour price, the shrimp street taco was pretty good. Overall service wasn't very good but maybe it was just an off day

Great street tacos, quick and friendly service, will definitely recommend to my friends and family. Papillion was in desperate need of a great taco place, and this is it!I got the brisket, al pastor, and mahi mahi tacos and all 3 were full of flavor.

El Chicano has quickly become our favorite spot for Mexican food in Papillion. Not only is the food delicious, but the service is wonderful too. We get to-go a lot and the food is always packaged nicely and still warm by the time we get home. Definitely our favorite spot for street tacos.

Walked in Greeted by the owner, amazing place! The food is unbelievable! Authentic and flavorful. Carne asada was great! the El pastor was so juicy and perfectly cooked! Great tequila selection too! Do NOT MISS OUT IT'S A MUST TRY !

The chips and salsa was very good, best part of my meal. Get the mixed chips. We got 5 different tacos, the only ones I'd get again are Al Pastor or Carne Asada. The others were just average

Stopped in for Saturday lunch, not to long after they opened. The street tacos were absolutely fantastic! Chicken was nice and flavorful, carnitas were nice and crispy but not dry, and the steak was very tasty as well. The salsas paired well with everything and the price point was well within range for awesome quality and amazing taste. Staff were friendly and accommodating as well.

Food is delicious and customer service was out of this world! Wow, very impressed. (Hispanic guy was our server & just wow) very happy with this place. This was out 1st time & will definitely be returning & spreading the word on how great this place was.

We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday when we were in Papillion from Des Moines, IA. Everything on the menu looked really good. We ended up ordering the street tacos - barbacoa, steak, and carnitas. The barbacoa and steak were our favorite - the carnitas were a little dry. All the food had good flavor. We are always a little disappointed with Mexican restaurants that do not have complementary chips & salsa. We didn't really want to pay $5, especially when she said it was not free refills. She did tell us apps were half price, so we did order chips & salsa. The chips were really good - crunchy with great flavor. The salsa was amazing - I could have eaten it with a spoon! It did have some heat that built up, so if you don't like spicy food you might want to be cautious. I wish we lived closer so we could go back often. I would love to try the churros if we ever go back. The fajitas and enchiladas also looked really good. When the waitress asked if we needed anything else I told her yes, we needed them to open a restaurant in the Des Moines area :)
