We dined at Cafe Diem this morning for breakfast. We were promptly greeted and seated very quickly. Our server was very attentive and was a able to answer the questions that we had for her. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our meal. My son asked if we could come back tomorrow for another cinnamon roll. Highly recommend supporting this local small family owned business.

We had lunch at the Cafe today. It was wonderful. I had Eggs Benedict. Sauce was made from scratch and it was great. My husband got B L T. It was terrific. The owner and the waitress were both friendly and professional. We will be back.
Our first visit, My husband brought me here for Mother's Day breakfast. We were met with extremely friendly staff, seated immediately, and got our drinks right away. Our waitress, Gail, was the Most Fun, and inviting! The food was really good. Service was excellent. And we enjoy coming back, if for no other reason then because of the excellent service! The food helps too! Lol
Had lunch with a friend recently and was amazed at the quality of the staff, service and food. As I approached the building, an employee was sweeping the front walkways and outside seating area which were already in pretty good shape. The service inside was even better and the food was wonderful, especially considering the reasonable prices.Then while we were eating, the gentleman who had been outside sweeping asked how our meal was and after I observed him later visiting with others, I discovered he is Steve Jackson, the owner of Cafe Diem.Needless to say, I will come back for the service, the food, and to support a terrific example of a business owner.Can't recommend Cafe Diem enough!
My best friend and I went here around 12:30 or so today. She has been here before two other times, this was my first time. I can't seem to say enough great comments about this place. Steve the owner, is a very friendly, caring, person, and talks to all his customers, makes you feel special, and makes sure your visit was great. I learned quite a lot about the place, name, and all. Just ask Steve, he was so kind to just hang out and visit with us and all the other customers.!!! The food was wonderful as well as the server. I had the omelet with the veggies, and my best friend had the french dip. Our server Larisssa was very attentive, friendly, answered every question we had, and checked on us more than several times! I would highly recommend this hidden gem, and I will be back soon!
I had high expectations; the food was okay but I wasn't blown away by any means. I got the country fried steak and eggs over easy buy the cholula definitely saved the meal. The waiting staff management was really nice and courteous so I'd go back. Next time I'll try lunch, the really and fries looked really good ans seemed to be a popular choice
Great breakfast gluten free options including French toast. Food tasted great. The owner came to talk with us and over half the people there were regulars.
Steve the owner runs a tight ship. Yes, the food is great. Hand made chicken fried steaks, good chili, excellent baked goods. But it’s the service that is above par. Omaha for the most part puts up with substandard service. Not here. The owner hires the right people, pays the staff right, and fires the ones who shouldn’t be there. I have been here for both breakfast and lunch. I watched the owner go to the tables and ask how everything was. I highly recommend. Bring your friends. This place is the bomb. You’ll love it.
Had it for my first time today (after a few months of hearing non-stop how I’m totally missing out — they weren’t playin!!) and it was quick and spectacular!! I got the Philly Sandwich, delicious to say the least. I really liked that beyond the usual Onion/Green Pepper/Cheese it also is topped with Mushroom!!! As part of it :] no need to upcharge/add!! Most places I have to ask to add them lol, it’s totally amazing. I can’t wait to try some breakfast stuff, if it’s anywhere close to as good as my lunch sammmich it’s gunna be phenomenal. I highly highly suggest giving Café Diem a try!! Staff was also very friendly and patient, there’s for any questions I had (it was only two but homegirl was nice lol).
