Had the Scotch Egg, great presentation done perfectly with a nice crunchy coating on top of greens, I thought the mustard sauce was a bit too sour but still different and good (4/5). The Cuban sandwich was a nice W & W version (3/5).
?? A place you must check out in the heart of downtown Omaha! Staying near downtown for the night and luckily found Wilson & Washburn who is one of the only places who serves food late night. Beautiful historic building accompanied with top of the line service and food prepared by the chef that you must try! Miriam was our server and she went above and beyond to make sure our service was great! Had the pleasure of meeting Chef Travis sho gave us a rundown on the history of the building and name along with some recommendations of what to do in the city. They both made us feel like we were at home! If you’re in the downtown area, you will not be disappointed in checking this place out!
Had such a positive experience the first time that we came back again within the week. The server did a great job of describing all the specials both drink and food. The drink special I ordered was delicious, it was basil citrusy topped with champagne although I forgot the name. We got the poutine croquette as an appetizer and it is probably currently my favorite app in Omaha. It comes with five but I only got the picture with three on the plate because we couldn't wait to eat them again. I ordered the fish and chips for dinner. The paper it's served on looks like a news paper and the headline was about fish and chips which I thought was a cute detail. One consistent thing we noticed here is that the servers do a great job getting food out of the kitchen fast and its always been served hot.
A very decent pub. I enjoyed their food. Thry have very good fries. Service is a bit lacking in terms of social skills but other than that. I would definitely return. I think their prices are fair and the establishment was relatively clean. It is a bit weird that they serve burgers with potatoe chips instead of fries though.
Needed food late one night in downtown and this was our only option, had never heard of it before. So glad we did, this is now at the top of our list. Ladies had the brisket salads, fellas had the burgers, all of us agreed the food was phenomenal, staff was friendly and courteous and attentive. Can't wait to go back again!
Lucky for us, many restaurants in central Old Market were full so we headed to W & W. There we found a funky pub with an eclectic drink & food menu. Also it wasn't too busy and easy to get a table. My family had Reubens, Mac & Cheese, Shrimp Poor Boy and I had the completely fabulous Cuban. We devoured everything. Look forward to returning and trying their hard ciders. Definitely one not to miss on your next trip to Omaha.
We loved that the kitchen was open late. We walked in 15 minutes prior to last call for food , which we don't like to make a habit of, but sometimes happens on axe league nights. The staff was amazing and didn't seem upset at all that we were in so close to the kitchen closing. My husband and his friend had a burger and chips and they both said the burgers were delicious. My friend and I both had the house salad minus the candied pecans and added brisket for a protein. It was

Follow me on here or Instagram @markthisplacedown for more reviews.WHAT I ORDEREDFish & Chips (Cod, house beer batter, coleslaw, tartar sauce, house cut fries).Old Fashioned. The Fish & Chips were really good. I waited 5mins before eating (I was talking to a stranger at the bar) and the food was still plenty warm when I started to eat. The meal comes with 2 large pieces of fish and the batter is really tasty. I’m generally not a big coleslaw guy but theirs was pretty good because it’s not like your normal bland coleslaw. The Old Fashioned tasted exactly the way it should.MENUThe menu is a little smaller here but you have a few good options for bar snacks (a lot of them are pretty unique), sides like salads and soups, main dishes (mostly finger food), 2 desert choices. There also appears to be a brunch menu on the weekends. For a full menu visit wilsonandwashburn.comVISITING CONDITIONSI came here by myself around 7:30pm on a Friday night. Decided to sit at the bar which was pretty crowded but the rest of the establishment wasn’t too busy. I got my drink and food pretty quickly.ESTABLISHMENTWilson and Washburn has tall ceilings, exposed brick walls, and dim lighting. The bar is located near the entrance with maybe 15 seats or so. There are two TVs next to the bar for those who enjoy watching something while enjoying your meal and/or drink. There are a few lower tables but most of them are high tops. The interior is narrow and long. Plenty of seats though.STAFFSince I sat at the bar I was attended to pretty quickly. The bartender was friendly and made my drink really fast and also assisted me with my food order quickly.PRICINGThe drinks are around $6-10. The appetizers are around $6. The sides are around $5. The main attractions are between $9-12.LOCATION1407 Harney StOmaha, NE 68102If you like a mellow hangout spot with your classic bar foods you can definitely MARK THIS PLACE DOWN as a must try!
Nice atmosphere and great beer list. We didn't get to try the food, but what I saw go out to other tables looked very good.
Great beer selection and even better food. The vibe is great: upscale without being snobbish (or expensive). A perfect neighborhood hangout spot.
