Great drinks and cool little spot! They had karaoke going on which was a little loud you couldn’t hold a decent conversation unless you went outside!
Good place to go for late night dancing. It was hard to initially get the attention of the bartenders to get drinks. Once we were able to get drinks it was well worth the visit.
I'm going to be honest here. I visited this establishment on the last leg of a bar crawl. I do not remember this place but I survived so I assume it's decent
One of the best bars in the old market and good humans work there.
If you want to not hear anymore go here. I cannot belive the proximity of this place to a hotel. The music is ridiculously loud and echos through all of thr hotel rooms across from it.
Really great drinks, most of which have a Scottish theme to them. Decently priced for an Old Market bar, and the vibe is incredibly chill and welcoming. Had it not been for the fact that we were planning on going to other places, I would have loved to stay there until closing. I will definitely be spending more time here in the future.
The Tavern is certainly my home. The vibe is unmatched. I've met some really great individuals here.
Diverse and upbeat atmosphere with sometimes a live dj which is rare and refreshing in the Old Market district. Bartenders and staff were very accommodating. Drinks were reasonably priced and well poured. Definitely recommend a visit.
Went this weekend and had a terrific time - played backgammon and enjoyed the Scottish G&T’s - we’ll be back!
Why does the music have to be so loud that I can hear it over my tv in my hotel room? I probably won't be able to go to sleep until after 2 a.m. when they close down. Where I'm from, bars can have music as long as it's not so loud that it's heard from outside. This is ridiculous! I don't know how the people inside can even talk to each other or have a good time because the music is so loud. Really annoying! Out of common respect and decency to others around you, turn it down! I called and they suggested that I change rooms or stay in a hotel in the suburbs. I don't really want to hear "W.A.P" over my tv. ?
