We love the Drover been going there many years! Always great food and amazing service!
Best steaks around!!Recommended the best cab to go with. Thoroughly enjoyable!
Shauna was awesome!! Very attentive and super sweet!! Filet was good too ?
My whiskey marinated, bone-in rib-eye was cooked to PERFECTION. I had asked for 130 degrees, just on the cusp of rare and med rare, and it was phenomenal.Pedro, my waiter, and Stacey, the cocktail waitress, were outstanding - I had a wonderful evening under their care!My two complaints, and the reasons for four stairs, were the following:- I sat at the bar for a bit while waiting for a table, and the bartender was dunking GLASS into the ice trough, REPEATEDLY. As a former bartender/cocktail waitress/server, that’s a HUGE no-no. I mean, it’s a MASSIVE food-safety violation. Stop being lazy and just use the scoop! I did let the manager/owner Daryl? know about this, and he was quite receptive of my feedback, so hopefully this gets addressed.- Their red wine by-the-glass options really left a whole lot to be desired. The glass menu was made up, almost entirely, of Napa reds. Not exactly my ideal selection, and of the two Argentinian Malbecs, Norton and Layer Cake, they were out of the Norton. I gave La Crema a try, a Sonoma Valley Pinot, and it was horrid, but I then opted for the Layer Cake and it was spicy and delightful.All-in-all, I left a 75% tip because the two aforementioned staff members were lovely, and I’d definitely eat here again! (:
Went for an early dinner without a reservation on a Thursday evening. We were lucky to get in. After a long wait at the bar, we were shown our table. We then took the salad bar. After a long wait, our steaks arrive. They were great. Unfortunately, the smallest steak was 10 oz which meant that we would have leftover steak for lunch the next day. Good ambience. Wish the service could have been better.
This is an awesome classic steak house, if you want a great cut prepared perfectly this is the place. Service was awesome. Everything was superb.
Not sure why we've never tried this place, but not sure I'll go back either. Food was adequate but not to the taste or quality I'd expect for the price. There was also a busboy cleaning tables, picking up glasses by the rim, and serving fresh drinks the same way. Didn't matter he had gloves on, not the attention to detail you'd expect anywhere and especially at this price point. Probably won't be back.
I have visited The Drover twice. In 2020 (immediately before Covid), I had a fantastic prime rib. And the rudest server I can ever remember, bar none. In 2022, I made a reservation and visited again (I thought being a walk-in had been part of the problem last time). I once again ordered prime rib. It took an hour for my food to arrive, and the product was... meh. Not awful, but pretty unspectacular. The sides were poor. The meal was certainly not worth the price. To her credit, my waitress reduced the price of my meal when I complained. Maybe I'll give it another try in 2024, but I have no urge to return anytime in the near future.
Great old school steakhouse. Best bang for your buck is the motto here. Phenomenal salad bar, excellent sides and steaks are always on point. An Omaha institution.
For an upscale Steak Restaurant I was expecting a great selection of whiskey and was let down. The salad bar was also not as impressive as I would've expect. However the steak was pure PERFECTION! The steak made this dining experience 4 stars! If they step up the bar and salad bar this would most certainly be 5 star worthy!
