I called The Cake Gallery and spoke with a woman named Theresa. I had the most positive experience; Theresa was patient, understanding, very knowledgeable, thorough and explained the differences of how the frosting would affect the color. Theresa was AMAZING!!! Theresa has a very positive and calming personality and I feel blessed to have spoken with her on the phone. Also, when I asked to speak with her supervisor, Naomi, to pay her a compliment Naomi was a pleasure to speak with. I have never posted a Google review but after my experience today I felt the need to give them the recognition they deserve. Kudos to Theresa, Naomi and The Cake Gallery for having such wonderful people working there.
Holy Moly! The HoHo Torte exceeded our expectations. Not to sweet or heavy. Light, fluffy cake, amazing whipped cream like frosting between layers and a light coating of gorgeous decorative frosting on the outside. Kids and adults all loved it. Online ordering was seamless. I’ll be ordering here again.
When I went to pick up my cake, there were 4 people standing by the counter and nobody would help me. The only staff member who was helping anyone was too busy trying to find cupcakes that they had lost. When I finally got to the counter and they showed me the cake. I was really disappointed at how bad it looked. Nothing at all like the photo on their page. I won't ever use them again. If it wasn't my sons birthday today, I'd have walked out without it.
Excellent tasting cake with excellent decorators willing to work with you on whatever you want! J highly recommend the cake gallery!!
Overall-- just our experience-- customer service over wedding cakes wasn't great. I called and asked about pricing of wedding cakes after going to an open house and trying their cake. We wanted to schedule a tasting to potentially buy a cake from them. A guy talked to me (for like 30 min) on the phone. I listened to him because I thought it would lead us to the cake testing but he sounded really put off by this question. I just wanted a base guideline and to schedule a tasting to discuss design and how many people we were having to get a rough price range etc., or based on our design etc., not to be mansplained to over the phone forever for a simple question. I know it depends on the design etc. with cost. But the way he spoke was very condescending and no one returned my call for a tasting which was the main reason we called. My fiancé even thought the guy was rude over the phone. He took my name and number and said the lady who does wedding cakes would call me about a cake taste testing and to discuss wedding details. But alas no one called us back. Disappointed with the customer service, like some others have mentioned. Cake tastes great, but some really could work on customer service.

I paid you guys $179 for a 6-in cake on top of a 9-in cake for my son's wedding on 2-22-22. The girl who took the order was very detailed and I have a copy of the order. when I went to pick up the cake, the bottom layer was the same color as the top which it was not supposed to be. The top was supposed to be plum and the bottom was supposed to be burgundy. The lady that brought the cake out offered to put some burgundy icing around the silver icing on both of the plum layers. I said no that would look stupid. And she said I don't know what else I can do. The cake plate was supposed to be a pretty print silver covering, and it was just plain and looked like foil. And the silver piping on the layers was so thick and not even remotely delicate. As a wedding cake I thought it was awful. The bride was very disappointed. I was not offered any refund or anything. I've been buying cakes for so many years at your store. There were several mistakes but most of them were not this bad or they were able to fix them while I still waited. This was a wedding cake! I expected much better for that kind of price! I am terribly disappointed in this purchase.
This cake was better than I could have possibly imagined! Nancy at The Cake Gallery is insanely talented. I brought them a picture of the birthday decorations, picked one of their existing cake designs from the website, and said "you have full creative license, just make it pretty, you do you!" IT WAS SPECTACULAR!!! And that is just the design. I ordered the almond cake and it was *chef's kiss* I almost never post reviews, but this absolutely deserved it. Thank you! 10 out of 10, will be ordering again.
Would highly recommend for any wedding!! They were so friendly during the tasting and answered all of our questions. They were very accommodating when we changed the amount of cupcakes and added a new flavor to our order. They provided the cake stands (for an extra charge) and we purchased the cake topper from them as well. We provided the cupcake wrappers and the garland. They delivered on time and didn’t forget anything, I didn’t have to stress at all!
They baked the perfect cake for my baby's rice feeding ceremony. Thanks for making her day so special.
