We visited the Omaha West location on Saturday the 23rd around 3:00 PM. I’m not sure if we went at a weird time, but beside one other table, we were the only ones in the restaurant. I’ll list the pro’s and cons!PROS: The food! We started out with the meatball flight and it was wonderful. Each meatball was unique and delicious. Our favorite was the classic. We also ordered a wedge salad and a meatball sub and fries. The wedge salad was wonderful, with big chunks of bleu cheese and a really tasty ranch dressing. My boyfriend loved his meatball sub, too. I also appreciated that the space was air conditioned so well on such a hot day.CONS: The service. Our server (can’t remember her name, but she was blonde and younger) was very inattentive. Because the restaurant was so empty, she sat at the bar on her phone for most of our meal. I had a blonde hair in my drink (hers, I’m assuming) and I couldn’t even flag her to get her to come back to our table. I think she only stopped at our table to check on us once throughout the meal process. I was really thirsty, too :( At the very end of our meal she did circle back and I was able to get my water replaced. Despite that part, she was friendly and fun to talk to. The bar manager (I think? He was an older guy) was chatting up/flirting with the blonde for our entire meal and he kept loudly singing to the songs playing in the restaurant. That part was really uncomfortable and was a turn off. While the food was awesome, we couldn’t wait to get out of there.Overall, we would come back again for the food but we would probably get takeout.

I love trying restaurants I’ve never been to. Tonight was no exception. Wife was working late, so we broke away to get some dinner. Initially, I started a search for nearby places that had a fresh salad on the menu. This restaurant came up as a suggestion, and I’m glad we went.It was nice to see that all their appetizers were the same price. Entrees were another price, etc. made it incredibly easy to pick something. We split a mushroom and bread appetizer which was a hoagie bun with mushrooms and melted cheese. Something different and unique, but extremely delicious. My main course was a “Build a Bowl” with roasted cauliflower then I added a pork/ground beef meatball with meat sauce. Like the appetizer, it was soooo good!Portions were a great size. Price was comparable to nearby places. We both said we can’t wait to go back and try it again.

I wanted to pass along my experience from this evening and how Scott at The Blackstone Meatball East made me believe that there are wonderful and chivalrous people in the world still! My wife, niece and I came in for some food and then headed to Coneflower for some ice cream. Service was fantastic but it doesn’t stop there. We happened to drive my Jeep tonight; topless and doorless for maximum fun effect!! However, the thunderstorms hit before we had planned leaving us “stuck” on Coneflower to try to sit the rain out. 15 minutes later and we knew we’d better head out. Needless to say, we knew the Jeep was soaked and floors flooded. As soon as we came back through Meatball to see just how bad it was and head home, Scott remembered us and knew we had a Jeep that was pretty soaked. He asked if we needed anything and offered towels to help dry some of the Jeep off or at least clean the windshield. It nearly brought me to tears, his kindness. It’s so rare these days, unfortunately. The towels were so helpful, gave us a clear windshield to head home with and a nice “rain bonnet” for my niece. I will now forever be a Meatball fan and evangelist. Please pass along my thanks to Scott!

This review is for the Harney location in the medical district. First time to Blackstone Meatball and we had a great experience. We visited mid-afternoon in the middle of the week. Not crowded. Friendly and helpful staff. Unique concept. We loved building our own bowls and both enjoyed our selections. There is limited off-street parking on Harney, which wasn't an issue mid-afternoon, but would be a problem at peak times. The absolute winner was the mushroom cheese bread app . . . Havarti cheese, mushrooms, and alfredo on the toasted bread. FANTASTIC taste!! Would return just for this dish.

I enjoyed a quick bite in their dining room and great conversation with good company. Free parking for patrons in the back & a time to unwind after the generous servings & service.Pictured is the signature Build a Bowl, waffle fries, classic beef meatballs, and Cici's marina along with a meatball sub with bourbon BBQ sauce. Abundant portions for take home if you're inclined.

The happy hour pricing is what makes this a 5 star rating as there is definately good value here.Service was generally good and friendly. We had the happy hour appetizers. Everything was 5 instead of 9, so for 35 instead of 63.The food we ordered:Fried cheese tortellini 3 starsKinda bland for meBruschetta 4 starsA nice version of it. The topping was a bit coldStuffed mushroom bread 5 starsDelicious. One of the best appetizersHouse rings 3 starsSome of them were over fried. The onions inside were a bit mushy and the batter itself, though crispy didn't have much flavor. There are sauces to dip it in however, ranch and ketchup to make up for it, but overall not something I would re order.Garlic cheese bread 3.5 starsIt was fine but we would much rather have the stuffed mushroom. The cheese on that was better for me.Bacon wrapped jalapenos 5 starsVery well balanced, would re order.Build a bowlWe ordered 3:Creamy cauliflower boudin sausage el Diablo sauceRoasted vegetables romesco pork sundried tomato pestoEspecially which was bulgogi with sesame glaze and spicy sauteed vegetablesI liked the creamy cauliflower, the romesco pork meatball and the El Diablo sauceThe roasted vegetables said it was supposed to have rainbow carrots but it was just regular orange carrots.I wasn't a fan of the bulgogi special with the sesame glaze. I think it was the sauce I didn't like, not the bulgogi meatball. The sun-dried tomato pesto was fine, but a bit salty for me.For 16 though I feel hesitant to order the cauliflower instead of sitting like the gnocchi or the risotto. The price point is a bit high for a roasted vegetable.Parking is Blackstone parking, however they do have a small private lot in the back of the building

This is for the Chicago Street location. Went for dinner with friends. I had lasagna; my wife had one of the meatball selections. The food was good. The wine selection was limited: house red or house white, which was served in something other than a wine glass. The decorations were basic.

I don't understand the hype of this place. We've picked up food a couple of times now and the sauce always seems watery and just okay. I got the pesto sauce this last time and it was not as smooth as I was expecting. Some bigger pieces of herbs that were not blended as well as others. For the price, I'm just not impressed.

Our food was delicious! We tried 4 different meatballs and sauces. The pork meatball was our favorite! The fries and fried tortellini were crisp and hot. Our server was average but did his job.

This review is for the 180th and Dodge location. First the good, service was good, efficient and prompt. It has a unique menu. Lots of meatballs meatballs on cauliflower, meatballs on Brussels sprouts, meatballs on roasted veggies, meatballs on grilled cheese sandwich. Onion rings were great. Meatballs were ok but very dry. Server was prompt. Beer was ok.
