The food was pretty good before the name change… we haven’t been back because the older lady that worked there was very rude during a dine in experience and when we brought it to her attention she was basically like we didn’t have to come back…. They definitely lost a customer.
I have been here a couple times and let me tell you. These wonderful human beings care about you and our Blackstone community. I hurt my legs pretty bad last week and hobbled from the bus station to them. They welcomed me by opening the door, making sure I was comfortable because of how hurt I was, helped elevate my leg (and iced it to), gave me complimentary pineapple water and after I couldn't bare the pain while trying to eat my dinner, packaged it up quickly, picked up my belongings and food quickly for me and escorted me to my ride for the hospital. The mother of the restaurant held me so I wouldn't fall and made sure I was ok top to bottom as well as the son and Santosh who makes the naan. Great food great people - literally made me feel like I was there own family member with how caring they were. If you're not coming here for great Indian cuisine your either crazy or stupid. You don't know what kind of service and heart these people have.
The food takes some patience. But the flavor is savory and the lamb was so tender. It is a small establishment with a drive through.
I love to try out Indian cuisine at the different cities I travel through out the world. However, sadly this was not a good experience for me today. The Naan was half burnt and the curry was tasteless and very soupy. The rice was also very cakey.I was asked to tip by the guy at the register and was taken aback by that. I had ordered my food and was waiting to pick it up.I was not dining in nor was I having it delivered. Not sure why he demanded to be tipped. The service was not positive and in all honesty I would not recommend eating here. Please go elsewhere.
Best Indian food in Omaha or Lincoln. Small, but ergonomic so there are plenty of seats! The staff is very kind and accommodating as well.highly recommended!
I ordered the Chicken Tika Masala with garlic naan. The food was amazingly delicious. However, please add disposable cutlery and napkins to to-go orders.I ordered through a third party delivery service and when asked for a review, the above statement violated its guidelines and wasn’t published through its platform.Transparency is why I must share my experience directly on this review platform.
Worst food ever i ordered garlic naan and they gave readymate tortillas which u can get from walmart easily and i orderesd channa masal which was full of oil overall dont eat food from here food from here will mess up your body !! Be carefull look what u eat
The Kormas (veggie, chicken, or lamb) are all excellent and the mango lassi is really tastey! The cheese naan is almost always really good as well. This is my usual order, and it'such better here than other places I've tried in the area.
This is one of the world’s great Indian restaurants (I’ve had Indian in many countries and cities including in India). Been busting here for many years. They changed their name from Mother India after the father retired before Covid and are just now rebuilding their business. Extensive menu of deeply flavorful meat and vegetarian dishes.Don’t miss what is probably the best food in Omaha.Excellent variety of naan, samosas, and tasty things to much on.Busy take out. Some outdoor dining seasonal, parking lot, restrooms. Credit cards ok.
I honestly went there because of the reviews. They're kind people but the customer service was bad. I get that the restaurant is small but moving me to a narrow corner because new customers came in didn't sit well with me. But that didn't border me as much as the food. I was charged $8 for two samosas, fine. But the samosa's weren't tasty and what I hated the most was that they were cold. I went back and asked if they were fresh or heated up because mine were cold and they straight up said yes. I went back and tried eating it again but couldn't. I took a closer look and saw that the oil inside was coagulated. I had to ask them to microwave them. If you're not a fan of sweet sauce, don't get the kurma. I was hoping for Basmati or Jazmine rice like in the photos but I was given parboiled rice. I've had way better Indian food to be honest.
