Food is great our Second time here .. last year we were also here and a great way to get some pho after a long drive .. it replenishes my energy and ready for the next stop ahead !!!The spring rolls with the peanut sauce is very excellent it leaves a delicious after taste in your mouth…Great ambiance and spacious parking space behind the restaurant!!! ♥️♥️♥️
Besides pho, I've never had Vietnamese food before. I decided to try Saigon Surface, and boy am I glad I did. Vietnamese is easily in my top 5 favorite food types now.Everything was expertly prepared and so FRESH. If you're worried about portions, don't be. I can usually pack away some vittles; I hadn't eaten much today, and I left full after an entree and appetizer.Loved this place! Will be back, and will tell everyone I know.
I've been eating here regularly since they opened. Great place for lunch with colleagues, dinner with the fam, or solo soup night when you aren't feeling so great. They have so many wonderful dishes. I love both of the salads, the spring rolls, yellow curry chicken, oxtail chicken pho, clay pots, vermicelli, I could go on and on. My absolute favorite dish is the mango sticky rice and I've spent years trying to figure out the recipe at home.
I’ve ordered from here a bunch of times and this is the best Vietnamese food I’ve had so far in Omaha. The Pho and Bun Bo Hue is flavorful and the grilled pork & beef (with vermicelli) is delicious
Bahn Mi was decent, but it had broccoli on it... What? For the price I'm glad it came out as two halves cut from a larger bread roll... At least the portion size was good. The spring rolls were ok... They seemed fresh but the were clumsily made and contained small shrimp pieces. We could've made these at home...I expect a Vietnamese restaurant to be able to do them better than I can.The clay pot curry had a different flavor than I was expecting but it was decent. I didn't have any expectations because I've only really had Thai and Indian curry, but I probably wouldn't get it again. The phô. Oh the phô. Here is where Saigon Surface lost me. I have had phô all around the world from some amazing restaurants. Not special restaurants, just simple holes in the wall that do phô very well. This is really what we came for and it had a weird sour taste. It also contained potato wedges and huge carrot chunks that were mush. Once doctored up with hoisin and Sriracha it was passable but we had to remove the weird veggies that killed the dish. We're gonna tour other restaurants for a while. Can't say we wouldn't go back here just yet, depends on if we find a better Vietnamese place in Omaha.
Amazing food!! Beautiful place!! Everything was so TASTY. And price are very affordable! 10/10 would recommended
Had a hankerin' for Pork Bánh mì and this place nailed it! The sandwich is huge and actually makes 2 meals.? Not crowded, friendly & fast service. Will definitely come back. ??Wi-Fi password #saigonsurface
This is a hidden gem and a nice reprieve from the ever so present steak houses, elevated pub fare, and comfort food in the area. The freshly fried tofu in the vegetarian spring roll was a pleasant surprise. The pork in the vermicelli salad was flavorful and really hit the spot.
Saigon surface is always a great experience for me ordering from door dash, and that's saying a lot. Everything is always meticulously prepared and the taste is always great. I recommend the Ox tail Pho and the Mi Vit Tiem (roast duck soup). The rolls are great as well if you're looking for a different flavor profile than your standard Chinese takeout eggrolls.I've made Pho before and it is not easy nor quick. They deliver time after time with phenomenal flavor and great service. Also, you'll probably have a hard time finishing a serving of Pho in one sitting, especially if you have something like eggrolls or calamari to go with it. That being said, mine is usually gone in less than 15 minutes because I just can't bring myself to stop ?This is what the Mi Vit Tiem looks like up close. Rich, dark broth that's not too heavy and absolutely PACKED with flavor.10/10 would recommend.
First visitThe bun bo hue was a 3.5 star, not being as flavorful as I'd like. I did notice another reviewer had mentioned that. The combo vermicelli bowl was 4 stars for me. Good solid option. The decor is nice and it's a very comfortable place to eat.Service was friendly.
