Great food at great prices. Staff is friendly and efficient.Salsa is so good, I would buy some to go! It's not often that you find a fresh cilantro infused salsa these days!Atmosphere is good and you don't feel rushed to get through your meal! The food is fresh as well, definitely try the mashed black beans. This is not your refried, microwave Mexican restaurant!

We were big fans of the downtown location, but unfortunately we just haven’t had a good experience here. The last time we went, we waited at the bar until a table was ready and there were only two bartenders for their entire HUGE bar. One was only making drinks for servers on the floor and the other was taking care of the bar seats, all full of customers. A quick look around when we arrived let us know that everyone was frustrated and seemed to be waiting on service. We waited over 10 minutes to even get greeted by anyone and she said to give her a couple more minutes. By this point we have now missed happy hour. It was chaos.I wish I could say that once we got to our table things got better. Our server was incredibly nice, but she wasn’t as attentive as we needed her to be. No fault of hers as we saw her running around taking care of way too many tables.I’m not exaggerating when I say that our food took an hour to come out. We ordered 3 meals, all tacos. We barely saw our server to even ask what was taking so long, or to get our drinks refilled. Our toddler and baby were on the edge of meltdowns because we’d now been here for so long. Why simple taco meals took an hour, we will never know. What we do know is that we sadly won’t be dining at this location again.

Great food and margaritas! Tasty salsa! I was there in the late afternoon. My only complaint was with the THREE hostesses at the front. The sign was up for please wait to be seated. After they just looked at me I asked if I was to wait or seat myself. I was told there was open seating in the bar. It was obvious they were aggravated when I said I’d prefer the dining room. FYI there were some other customers in the dining room.

I've dined here many times and also done take out. Service always with a smile. The menu has a few creative items not available in other Mexican restaurants. The chips are fresh made on site, lite and not over salted. Fish tacos are as good or better than any of 6 other restaurants in Omaha & Phoenix. Try the Stacked shrimp enchiladas, the Mahi Mahi tacos grilled or deep, fried and the slow roasted Chipotle Pork. The black beans, always optional are prepared properly so as not to induce gas :) . I had a weak happy hour Margarita that was quickly fortified by the hostess with a smile.

Excellent service! Food was hot, service was fast, manager came over to make sure everything was good. We've been to the one downtown and this one did not disappoint!

Had a terrible experience tonight. Drove out of my way to go to Roja because I like their booths and had a little work to get done. I walked in and they were not busy and lots of seats open including booths. I was told all the booths were reserved. I find it hard to believe on a Monday at 5pm they wouldn’t be able to accommodate this but they turned away business tonight. The hostess wasn’t the friendliest so I left and took my business elsewhere. No one seems to care about customer service anymore….

Went there last night for dinner with another couple. It was our first time back in 16 years and was the other couple's first time at all. We had reservations and were promptly seated. They first tried to give us a table near the hubbub of the kitchen but then accommodated us with a more quiet booth. The waiter started us off with chips and salsa. The chips were thin and not greasy. The salsa was thick and very tasty. We then had an order of guacamole for appetizer, which was very good. We each had a different entree: enchilada trio, del mar, beef fajita, and cheese chile rellenos. All were well prepared and came out in a timely manner. Our waiter checked back on us several times and made sure we were well taken care of. Our drinks from the bar were well made. I don't think we will wait another 16 years before we come back.

Went here day after Xmas to celebrate my 50th bday. I’m giving my experience a 2 star rating only cause I like the location and atmosphere. Once we received our food our server never came back to the table to check up on us and grab refills. I did notice he worked the table next to us I lost count after his seventh visit to that table. Food was okay but their rice is not for me, black bean was okay but a bit runny. I was charged for something I never received (side of Queso).I’m left wondering how the place is so busy unless all are new customers can’t see anyone returning unless their service gets better and they serve different rice than what I was served. I don’t see myself going back anytime soon. Wish I would have went somewhere else for my 50th. Thanks Alexander B for the terrible service!

Taka at the bar was amazing!! Running his buns off for the whole bar room, which was busy, but was on top of it. Even walked by and noticed my margarita may have not been made perfectly and he made me another (as someone else made it for him). Food was delicious and we just love Taka soooo much! Give this man a raise and what an amazing attitude he had even though it was overwhelming in the bar area! Thanks Taka!!! Can you clone him???

Went last night for my birthday dinner . Went in and the hostess was less then impressed to be there . She took my name and number and told me 25 minutes. Went and sat pretty much right in front of the hostess stand . 4 groups came in after us that were sat right away ( without reservations ) . I asked when we would be seated a d she pointed to her computer , asked if that was me . I said yes but you put the phone number in wrong . Didn't even call out my name or anything just skipped over us . She said my bad and walked us to a table after waiting 30 minutes. The restaurant was half empty. We were seated and our waiter came to the table with chips and salsa and his zipper to his pants down . Ordered drinks and an appetizer . Got our appetizer before we even got our drinks . All and all it was a terrible and I regret picking Roja last night for my birthday dinner with my husband and son.
