Found this Omaha landmark pizzaria on Google and tool the chance to try out and I was glad I did. Italian heritage up for display the moment you walk into the establishment. I found myself reading the many stories connected with the pizzaria on the wall. Service was friendly. Ordered a pizza and it was good. Taste like homemade and not greasy like the typical franchise locations. Not really a fan of the garlic bread it came with although a nice unexpected touch. You need to checkout the wonderful mural created South Omaha Murals. What a wonderful recognition of the local culture.
This was an interesting experience. I expected a full service restaurant, but found out it was more of a store where you order pickup, to go, or groceries. We asked about eating in and they informed us they have these tables they can set up next to the bench. So it is technically a dine in restaurant. The pricing here is fair. The sizes of the pizza were generous. It looked like Detroit style pizza to me, served in rectangles. The people working felt more like a family vibe and they were very friendly and casual.Parking is available on the street for free. I took a photo of the parking area next to the building. We ordered the garlic cheese bread and a sheet pizza that we got split into two different toppings. I went with a mostly vegetarian, so we didn't get meat options which is what I'd normally try. I did like the cream cheese addition. That was a nice touch.I'd like to go back and try more options. Hopefully find myself that 5 star combination.
All I can say is wow!! Cute little Italian bakery and pizza shop. The man behind the counter was so sweet. Pepperoni pizza was delicious! They threw in a free order of cheese garlic bread and it was so good! If you are in the Omaha area, you must stop here!!
Place was clean, pizza was good, staff was friendly and wait time was about 15 minutes for a to go order. What else can you ask for? Overall pizza was a 8.5. Very impressed. Highly recommended.
I'll give the place 5 stars for the service, and Italian roots. I think there are room for improvements.I tried the quarter sheet of pizza. Single topping Italian sausage. The sausage was very good, but browned until quite small. Also. The meat was under the cheese which I found to be unique.I have been to Italy 3 times. This is definitely a family style recipe. The crust reminded me of Italian baked pizza (not wood fired). We also tried the Cannoli's. The pastry was delicious. The perfect amount of crunch and flavor without being burnt. The vanilla filling could have more of a ricotta taste, to me it tasted more like a Bavarian creme you would get in a donut.Bonus is they sell tipo 00 flour by the 4 lb bag. This flour is a must for making any style of pizza crust.Didn't get a chance to buy any bread but it smelled good!
OMG!!!!This place is AMAZING!My besties and I are visiting from florida and we needed a spot for some late lunch/early dinner. This place popped up and the pics looked great so we decided to go. I’ve never seen a restaurant that reminded me so much of my Italian grandmothers home. From the pictures covering the walls to the garlic smell. Pizza? DELICIOUS! Garlic Bread? DELICIOUS!Long story short. This place is so so so so so so so so so GREAT. You should go. I recommend 1000 times.

Omaha native, grew up on the other side of the town, so only came here for the first time a couple of days ago. The combo pizza was will built even though it had mountains of toppings, and the flavor was great, and the pizza style unique. Apparently for first time patrons they'll comp you a bake of cookies. I had the ricotta cookies, they were so good! I went back the very next day. They made me a pizza even though usually they don't do them in the morning, so I could make my flight. Then they comped me a pop, while one of the guys chatted me up like I was his neighbor. This place treats you like family, and that feeling is even better than their pizza. Go to this place for great pizza and treats. You will not be disappointed.
We had the best experience here! The food was spectacular! The owner was too. Heck, even the locals coming into the place were friendly, wishing us well and reassuring us we were having the best pizza in town. As we were leaving, my son picked up some Greek cookies with orange and showed his Momma. She said no. The owner said, “tell him to just take them. In fact…” he said as he pulled out two buckets of candies from under the counter, and he gave all three kids bubble gum, lollipops and fruit snacks. It felt like we were family. I recommend this place for the wonderful food and the awesome experience. YOU GOTTA EAT HERE!
Delicious pizza, baked goods were bomb. Super friendly owner. Blessed us with garlic bread, very accommodating and gave our kids candy and cookies. Super sweet.
