Came here with the family for dinner while we town. We will never come back. Server was rude, slow, and was not accommodating to food allergies in the family. We had to ask her for things we ordered, ask for our check 2x. I would understand if the place was busy but she didn't even have another table we were the only ones setted in her section and only 4 tables in the whole restrant. Food on top of everything else was only sub-par.
Food is always good & hot, but the last 2 visits service is very slow. We were there 1 hr 45min . The server had about 9-10 tables. I think the manager and someone else was rolling silverware , the manager didn't even chip in, ie getting drinks, refils, bringing food to table , & anyone can at least write down an order & put it in for the server. Nope didn't seem like any teamwork happening there.
Ordered the lasagna and it was the smallest piece of lasagna I have ever seen. It was basically a plate of sauce for 14.00. My husbands pasta dish not much better. Guess only get pizza here. I left still hungry after my 5 bites of food.
Love Old Chicago at Eagle Run. Nice selection of beer on tap and friendly staff. Food selection and quality has declined thus the 4 star rating. Bring back the great pre pandemic menu please.
Man, I was disappointed. Our pizza $26 for a large….suppose to be fresh. That straight out the freezer. I’ve made better frozen food at home. Then he ordered a “small” order of boneless wings. $9 for some nonsense. Our drinks were flat and our appetizers was unappealing. Overall. I will never go back and would discourage anyone else from going in. You’re better off staying home. The food not only will be cheaper, but I promise, you’ll make it better too.
(Feb.11th @ 4:30pm)Our server Jaysa was such a doll! Always filled our drinks before they got empty, food came out promptly and looked great (thanks, cooks!), and we had a quick, nice lunch. She was the only server on the clock at the time, and she did fantastic! Friendly and polite. ?
Ordered the nachos, a salad and a 9 slice pizza. To give some backround, I am not a person to be picky at all, nor to complain, but this was honestly a horrible experience and so decided to leave a review. The pizza would’ve been good if I actually got 9 slices worth, like it said. It was a small probably 8” pizza sliced into 9 pieces but there was only one piece I’d consider big enough to be a slice...so there goes my dinner. Secondly, the nachos as seen in the picture were just gross. They had no flavor, the chips were burnt to a crisp, and the cheese was cold and barely covered them. I’m just disappointed. I remember this place being very good back in the day and now I just feel like I got robbed. The only reason I gave two stars is because I could physically eat the pizza and salad. Smh.
Took over 30 min for a 2 meal takeout. Also the food wasn’t even that good. “Nachos” we’re cold by the time I got home. Alfredo wasn’t what I thought it would be… barley any sauce. Also while waiting you have servers and cooks just sitting in the dining room talking (loudly) instead of preparing your food. For spending 50 dollars I won’t be coming back
Probably one of the worst sit down dining experiences I’ve ever had. They weren’t busy when we arrived at 4:15 tonight and they brought my daughter her food and then my fiancé his. Finally five minutes later the server tells me my food was delivered to the wrong table and they were remaking it. Which was great. Until over twenty minutes later when it still hadn’t been brought to me. It was just a toasted sandwich….Decided to cancel that sandwich and pay for what we got. Food that did end up getting to is was extremely mediocre.Old Chicago used to be my favorite restaurant. It’s unfortunate that it’s like this now.
Great food, however.....when we sat down in the bar, long table had a small group..maybe 7 people, 1 regular booth, and us, 3 people. The booth behind me hadn't been bussed, and the table behind the 3rd party in my group was dirty. A small group of 4 tried to sit at the dirty table...had to wait longer than I would have to get the crud off the seats...and just before they cleaned the booth, the booth behind me was FINALLY bussed. After paying, we left, and 2 staff members were at the door...PLAYING WITH THEIR CELL PHONES!!! There were maybe 6-7 tables in the restaurant area. Now, I'm not in the food service industry, BUT your business might improve if people were supervised and trained...AND, above all...no cell phones while working....your business might actually improve!
