The food I have had from Oklahoma Joe's thus far has been awesome! I have only had it delivered via UberEats, but man have I enjoyed it. Their pulled pork sandwich with the spicy coleslaw is my absolute favorite thing they have. They give good portions on their food, too. Never left feeling hungry, but I could definitely eat more!
Got the pulled pork Mac and cheese and a bbq salad. Quick turnaround but food was very dry and didn’t have any flavor at all. The pulled pork was all chunky and fatty. Definitely not a good critique typically but this was not worth the price at all. Won’t be coming back.
Great BBQ salad. I was getting my hair cut next door and another woman was getting her haircut while eating this salad. Now I understand why she couldn’t wait.
My second time having a meal from this place. The take out experience is just as good as dining in. They don't use styrofoam containers, so you don't have to worry about plastic melting on your food. Everything tasted great after about a 25 minute drive home.Parking: Limited parking available. If you're getting take out on a busy day in this district, be sure to call for curbside, then there's reserved stalls.
I ordered twice from this restaurant on DoorDash. The ribs and burnt ends were delicious, but my only complaint was the macaroni and cheese. I love macaroni and cheese from restaurants when it is done right; but the mac and cheese from Oklahoma Joe's was very dry and bland. They could do better with it.
We tried Oklahoma Joes for the first time and we will be back! I had the Beef Brisket sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese. The beef was tender and full of flavor and came with sauce on the side. The sauce was sweet and tangy. The Mac was a little dry but still really good. Hubby had the ribs which he said was amazing; he got the half and said next time he wants the full rack. He got the beans as a side and said they were sweet with a little heat from the jalapeño. We had it delivered so we can’t say anything about the restaurant itself but we plan to check it out. Ordered the grand champion platter for 2 which had the chicken, turkey, 2 kinds or sausages, ribs, pulled pork and ribs including 3 sides. Looks a lot for 2 but leftovers are always good. My only issue was the chicken was kinda dry but the bbq sauce was really good! Service was super fast too!
First time to eat at Oklahoma Joe's today,and boy was it a let down. I had the jumbo briskit sandwitch and tator salad. The brisket had no flavor and same with the salad. My sandwich had only a drop or two of bbq sauce had to add a lot to give it some taste, although the brisket was juicy and tender just no flavor as would expect from a bbq place. This is why i gave it 2 stars. Not alot of meat for $11.99.
Service was good and food was fast to come out but the food was alright. Brisket was dry and not tender at all, pulled pork was ok but not seasoned enough. Beans weren't my favorite either...to sweet and not enough smoke. Best thing there is the coleslaw,that stuff is amazing but other then that I won't be eating here again.
Good brisket but it could stand to be sliced thinner. Other than that it's a AWESOME PLACE ! I'm from Texas and this is the best / only BBQ my wife and I have been able to find that is actually how it should be.Thank you
