Laotian Thai Noodles

My family was driving across the country and after having a nightmarish experience at Sidney, NE, we wanna get out of NE asap. We stopped by this Thai restaurant, wasn’t expecting much, but turned out finding an absolute gem! Every dishes we ordered exceed expectations. The noodle used to make the pad Thai and noodle soup was top notch, and I’ve tried many Thai restaurants all over the world. The waitress and I believe the owner was extremely nice people and had a good chat. A great experience, will definitely come back again when I get the chance!

This restaurant must’ve changed hands and we didn’t even know it. I tried to keep an open mind and give them the benefit of doubt, but something has changed in the last two years or so. We’ve been probably 5 or 6 times and Uber’d delivery a couple times and the amounts get less and less, while the price gets more and more. A Thai Beef Salad added 6 shrimp and a Thai tea came to $39. That’s quite high considering there use to be so much more to this salad. We used to come here and eat in. The salads were on a oval plate and was heaping with lettuce cucumbers, tomatoes and red onions with green onions or scallions. Now, you can barely see the lettuce. Nor is It heaping. The rice was so dry and hard, more than half of the rice was almost translucent. Myself being a rice l, eater born and raised, this looked to be day old rice that was microwaved. No moisture whatsoever. We sprinkled it on our wooden table and you could hear the “tink, tink, tink” of the rice hitting the table. Not only was their salad nowhere near what it used to be, but it was more sweet than the umami we remembered it used to be. The salad was sweeter than their Thai Tea. I’m just so disappointed and feel hosed.

An absolute gem of a find in the most unlikely of places. Delicious and authentic Thai food in a small Midwest city is something I wasn't expecting to find and was so thankful I did.

The worst Thai food experience I ever had. I don’t recommend wasting your money on it. If you really want to try Thai food go check out Mai Thai in Aksarben.

Sadly I had a very bad experience with this place. I ordered a vegetable stir fry and it came out in a “soup” carton and half liquid. The worst part was when he asked me how spicy out of 5, I said 3, assuming it would be medium and I can handle a decent level of spice.Well it was 5/5 so spicy my mouth is still burning on fire even 5 min after I could barely eat half of it. Wow so horrible.I’m not even going to go in to complain or ask for another because this is a mom and pop place and I can tell by his personality that the older owner will just give me a blank look like, ok that’s your problem you didn’t like it. Now I have to go to another place for dinner.

Would definitely recommend Laos Thai restaurant - a tofu and veggie lover's dream! Really friendly staff. Here's a pic of "Poor Man's Noodles" with tofu and another tofu appetizer and veggie soup (we love our tofu, but they have lots of meat items too). I really liked this beautiful statue by the front door too. Great place!

Best pad Thai in town. Super fresh and made to order

Tried noodles in this place after looking at the review but was disappointed. The broccoli noodles was horrible and tasteless. I had many Thai food before but this is the worst and the price is so expensive.

I was driving from CA to PA and stopped here, not expecting great Thai food in Nebraska. This place is amazing. They make their own curry paste as you can see the ground up lemongrass and spices at the bottom. So good...this is the real deal if you know Thai food. Highly recommended.
