La Mesa is a sit-down Hispanic restaurant. Their food is really tasty and full of flavor, plus they have an extensive selection of margaritas. The prices are about average for a place like this, being anywhere from $9 to $19 per entree.Overall, it is a great place to try out if you're in town!
Fast, attentive service even when very busy. Lunch express menu is well priced and everyone was happy with their selections. They easily accommodate substitutions or alterations to your plate ie no beans but extra rice etc. Nice atmosphere, not too loud, can easily hold a conversation at your table. Food was good value for the price.
We've been here multiple times and each time is the same. Great food, great drinks, great service.
Delicious authentic Mexican. Service was fast and knowledgeable about their menu items. The food was amazing. Definitely will try their tequila flight next time I go.

14.00 plus for tamales. Cabbage piled with lettuce. Only found 2 whe. 3 tamales were listed. Waiter said to choose between beans or rice. Really? Disappointing. We chose this site because it was to home and we had visitors.
We went on a Friday night and I think everyone in Omaha had the same idea. The first La Mesa we went to was closed for renovation. The 2nd La Mesa we went to we couldn't even get in the door to place our name. This was our 3rd chance and it was worth it! About a 20 min wait so not too long. My margarita was so good (paradise). My husband's was pretty strong and not a tasty. No one can go wrong with chips & salsa- so good. My husband's Burrito definitely could have been bigger for the cost but was still very filling. My enchilada alcapulco was so good!! The guac was amazing too.
Been a die hard la mesa fan for over 20yrs, so it pains me to see their service suck so bad and prices go to what they have. Numerous times now we show up and get no service for 15-20mins. Most recent time, we had to get all of our drinks ($5 lemonade for the kids!) at the bar and it was 30mins before anyone came to our table. Somehow he was rude on top of it, as if it was our fault. The chips were crumbs.This isn’t the la mesa I grew up with prompt service, fair prices, thoughtful food, and caring/fun staff. Truly a bummer.Positive feedback… the chicken nachos are still great.
I've recently been exploring Omaha's Mexican restaurants and this is one of the best in the Omaha metro. Combo menu offers a wide array of menu items for affordable prices.Highly recommend the enchiladas! The drink menu offers an extensive variety of margaritas for reasonable prices. I'll definitely be returning!
Best queso hands down, best taqueria menu - 12+ types of tacos with 4 options for shells and you can mix and match all in a 3 or 4 taco plate.
