Hoooo boy did the prices go up, but sometimes you need to splurge! Your friendly staff at King Kong always deliver when it comes to good meat, potatoes, and those beautifully crisp fries. Highly recommend the Double Kong or the steak dinner, they'll keep you full for the rest of the night, take it from a guy who professionally puts down burgers every other day.
The food was good and the service fast. Outbursts of loud Mexican music from the kitchen made it a little difficult to have a conversation with my dad. We had the Gyro plate and Gyro sandwich. Both were good portions. I was surprised the olives in the salad weren't pitted. I thought I broke a tooth. It felt more fast food than family dining. A sign asked us not to throw the plastic silverware away? Either very recycle friendly or made me wonder if they washed it and put it back out? With Styrofoam plates and cups, it struck me as odd.
I used to come here all the time, however the last few times that I have visited not only was the customer service very unprofessional but the food did not meet expectations like it used to in the past. In one of my recent experiences I ordered a meal but then wasn't given a drink when I asked for the drink they said I did not pay for one but they gave me fries and the sandwich which frustrates me because they even asked what size and what flavor drink so I really believe the staff needs to be retrained. Even if they were more all around genuine it would be better. In this case I give King Kong on Dodge Street a d.
Top sirloin steak special is great. Wish that they wouldn't package the salad and the steak together in one container though. Those should be separated.
The food was hot and tasty, and you get a lot for the price. Service was quick too.
I have been going to King Kong many years but after today’s 20 dollars sirloin stake it was 50 % fat 30%grisle 20% meat very very hard to cut I only had 3 bites that was good I will never go back check my picture he has gotten rich now he’s sell bull stake shame on them
I was very disappointed. The price is ridiculous. A burger for $10 comes without fries. The burger had this Ridiculous huge head of lettuce. I will never go there again. Cashier couldn't understand simple questions. The guys preparing the food were goofing off. Just not a good experience. No one had a mask on.
I love their food, but man have their prices spiked recently! Change more for their steak than Outback, Texas Roadhouse, Longhorn, Applebees, etc. Same for burgers and gyros... more expensive than much nicer sit-down restaurants. $15 for burger or gyro meal, $20 for steak. Hope they come down to reasonable prices again some day so i can bring them back into the lunch rotation.
They're sirloin steak was great and it was really big too. It was enough for 2 meals.
Food is good, but a bit pricey.
