Great steaks, Great pasta, great atmosphere this place is like a hidden gem out in the open for a Friday around 8p great service was t fast both of our steaks cooked to perfection, the pasta mellini was amazing, the chicken Parm fell a little flat the cheese was barely melted and the chicken was kind of soggy as if it was microwaved to barely melt the cheese the marinara that covered it was ?meh, could use a seasoning(not a typo) just tasted like warm tomato sauce that aside I plan to return to try a few other items that caught my eye
Excellent food, and a diverse menu. And...wait for it...good service! That is such a rarity these days, but not here. Sean took care of us tonight, and he is one of the best servers we have had anywhere...I joked that I want to take him with us next time we go out! Good stuff. If you haven't been here, and you like steak, pasta, and/or seafood...give it a try. And ask for Sean.
Made a reservation for 715pm for 2, when we got there we were seated right away, the only thing was instead of the dining area we were seated in the bar area at a large table for 6 and the people in front of our table were loud. We heard all of their conversations, which we didn't need too.Other then the bad seating, waitstaff was attentive, food was good .....the salads came out with just a slight bit of dressing, we had to ask for more. My date had a steak I had pasta both were good.All in all was a good evening except the bar seat experience, next time I'm ask for the dining area.
My wife and I spent memorial weekend in Omaha and had the privilege and pleasure of going to Johnny’s for dinner We cruised the menu and by that I mean we had four different appetizers and veal. That along with a dynamite martini. To finish the meal we had the lemon cello cake. only one word to describe it and that word is incredible. Half the appetizers and half meal and most the cake went back with us to our hotel because it was way too much to eat and we could not let it sit there. The young lady that waited on us was very attentive very polite very kind. So if anybody has a chance to go to Omaha on the west side Johnny’s Italian /steak House I would say do it without a doubt do it. We will be back again
So disappointing. This was a very expensive check for a very mediocre meal. Our food was low quality, as if it was frozen, reheated and served to us. It was absolutely not freshly prepared by a chef. We had taken our teens to a higher end restaurant during Spring Break. I wish we would've went for pizza instead! Unfortunately, this was an expensive lesson learned. I do not recommend.
Atmosphere was excellent, food was average. The prime rib was mostly fat and tendon which was disappointing; horseradish sauce had no punch. The Old Fashioned tasted watered down. Wife's food was excellent and zucchini fries were amazing!
My hubby and I tried this on a whim before going shopping in the area. We went with my hubby’s favorite appetizer : calamari. They had it nicely breaded and cooked perfectly. It wasn’t coated with lots of breading or chewy. They gave us Mayo sauce and marinara for dipping. I thought my Johnny’s Minelli was a great choice with the blackened chicken. The chicken was very tender, and the sauce was a great combination of garlic and cheese. Plus the glass of wine that our server recommended went along nicely with my pasta. I was pleasantly surprised by the first experience in comparison to some of the reviews. I’m pleased we tried it and will come back again.
We were running late, but they held our reservation for us (party of 5). Ryan, our waiter, was fantastic. The food was outstanding, as was the service. Dessert was phenomenal as well. Prices very reasonable for a restaurant of this quality. Great atmosphere. Will go back again.
After reading the reviews we weren't sure if we would go. The food was fantastic everything was timely and done to perfection our server Bianca was great. followed up with hot chocolate cake which I would suggest anyone to get. Overall totally pleased, we'll go again!
Food was really good and our waiter did his best, but when you wait 1hour and 45 minutes for your entries, because the kitchens backed up at 8:00pm on Sunday night?? Never got an apology from a manager, and another waiter dropped the entry for one if our group so she had to wait another 15 minutes for her dinner.
