Back to Javi’s we went cause it’s oh so good! I had the breakfast bowl (chorizo) and, yes, that IS pineapple you see in there as recommended by the lovely gal that was preparing it for me and I’m glad I agreed to it. Gavin had the breakfast tacos and Eli and Buddy had the breakfast burrito. Gavin was the only one that finished his food and we were surprised he did it. As usual (at least every time we’ve been there) Javi was there with a smile greeting us and asking how everything was (and teasing Eli about whether he’d finish his burrito or not?). We ❤️ Javi’s Tacos!!

I got the steak street tacos and WOW! The tacos were delicious and filling. I was incredibly impressed with how delicious the tacos were and how fast and friendly the service was. I meant to snag a photo of the food, but it smelled way too good for me to stop myself from eating it. I highly recommend Javi's if you're looking for amazing food!

I dined in at the Javi's Tacos on 171st Center. I had previously had their food at my work, it was catered in. The tacos, rice and beans I enjoyed at my work were great. The pulled pork was amazing. I was excited to dine in and try their food. I am sad to say it was not as good. I had a pulled pork taco and a beef taco. I also had chips and salsa. The salsa did not taste the same, it was over seasoned with Cumin/Chili powder. (not sure which) I was unable to eat it. My ground beef was so drenched in juice that it soaked my shell and fell apart. I just used my chips to eat it. I do understand that finding employees is difficult, there was just two ladies working. I feel they were understaffed as there were several tables that needed cleaned and the trash bin was overflowed. Hopefully employment issues will turn around. I am sorry to say, I will not go back.

Quick pickup Mexican food with some very impressive offerings.Family size Quesa Birria. 5 starsIt was everything we hoped it could be. It came with 3 sauces on the side to add to the birria sauce to make it spicier and enhance the flavor.Lengua burrito with charred beans and Roja rice 5 starsThis was my favorite! I could see myself coming back for this. It's also hard to find lengua at many restaurants in the weekdays. Many places only serve it on the weekendsI liked that your options included Jamaica, horchata and the melon drink along with your usual assortment of soft drinks. I tried the melon which we all agreed was a good flavor. Unfortunately the horchata was out so we didn't try that oneParking is available in a large shared lot.

This is currently my favorite Mexican taco joint. Its's become a weekly stop for me. This location is considerably better than the one on Center St.If you have never been, make your first visit on a day Fri-Mon, so that you can enjoy the best birria tacos in Omaha! The Birria Platter is made to order, and comes with 3 birria tacos, rice and consome for dipping. You can also enjoy massive burritos, made to order where choose all the extra ingredients. The nachos are another favorite of mine. I've included pictures of all of these dishes. The staff here is always nice and friendly, and the place is clean.

This was my 2nd time experiencing Javi's. The first time was a bad experience, but they were newly opened and maybe needed to work out some kinks. Decided to give them another try today and unfortunately it's no better.Issue 1: They nickel and dime you on everything, and the quality didn't justify that. They asked me what salsa I would like and I responded "corn salsa". They immediately said I couldn't have that one as it wasn't part of my tacos? Seriously, the corn salsa was extra? Anyways, I can get over that.Issue 2: My wife ordered 2 street tacos and made it a combo (w/ rice). When we finally got called up they only made 1 taco. I mentioned that we had 2 street tacos and the lady (nothing against her, she just worked there) told us the receipt said just one. Talking to the supervisor, behind her, she told us that we 2ould have to go buy another taco as they couldn't prove we actually said that. So I got 3 okay tacos with rice and my wife sat down with 1 little 4 inch tortilla with maybe 1/4 cup of meat on it.I don't want to complain, or write a negative review but the way this place is ran is suspicious, or weird at the very least. Will not be giving them a 3rd try to do things right.

Great overall experience. The birria tacos with cheese are phenomenal and was prepared very quickly. Javi is awesome! There was a mix up due to some miscommunication on my side but he was quick to provide a solution. Very personable experience and I will be back!

I recommend that java tacos are good but their customer service is sucks it's horrible Christin you need to work on your customer service. obviously is not a word you use for your customers. but the food I would definitely recommend it's delicious.

I love this place. I eat Javi’s about once a week. Usually at the lakeside location because my office is right there. The food is amazing. It’s packed with so much optional flavor. You can literally get the same item built for two entirely different palates.

The food is good, but don’t expect to be getting your food fast by any means. My wife and I went to the original location and loved it. Was a new place, so we were expecting it to be busy and take a while. Since then, we’ve been back multiple times, and the wife had given up after our 2nd visit and never wanted to wait forever for food. I, having more patience kept going back hoping it would get better, but it’s only got worse. On average, even when there are short lines, you’ll wait at least 30 minutes. If there’s a decent line though, you could be waiting at least an hour. Was hoping the new location that opened would be different, but they are all the same now. Hard to justify waiting that long for food, even at fancy sit down restaurants.
