Nice selection with interesting takes on classic restaurant dishes, with options for all ages and a nice dessert menu. Great service. A wonderful meal before our show at the Holland.
The food was OK. Mine arrived barely warm, and they took it back to the kitchen and it came back piping hot. The server was good, but seriously overworked, as the place appeared to be sorely understaffed. It was very loud, tables are really close together the benefit of the place was it was at the venue where we wanted to be, and so there were no hassles with parking or being on time. We would probably not choose to dine here again.
I had looked at menu on line before our arrival but menu was Different than what was on line.
As a frequent patron of the Zinc, I am always happy with the friendly, attentiveness the staff. The cheesecake was wonderful. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the special last night. The pork chop was tough and much too thick, and the potatoes were room temperature when they arrived at the table.
Great place to go prior to a show. Relaxing and never feel rushed.
Zinc offered a convenient and delicious meal before a concert we attended. Jackie, the woman who fill our waters an drink order at the start, acknowledged how busy the restaurant, was but jumped in and took our orders to make sure our meals got into the queue. Because of her initiative and good service, we finished with time to spare. The food, staff and location get high marks from us.
I consider this to be a fine dining experience. I thought for their price points, more options should be available to select from the menu. When asked for a little more bread, we were Told only 2 per reservation! The meatloaf was not as flavorful as it sounded like it could be as was the salmon. They listed soup on their paper menu but there was no soup. Now for the minor things but still an important thing: the host had a golf like pullover and to me, a crisp business shirt would have complimented his role , our table rocked so our server put a Napkin to keep it stable. In my mind all that should have been dealt with before customers came in. Server was nice but honestly the interaction wasnât anything to write home about. I wanted this to be a special Dining experience, like the kinds I have always Had at the Flatiron when it was open and quite honestly thereâs no reason why it shouldnât have been considering the venue and performances. This was my second time there; hoping that it would be different than the first time; unfortunately it was not. I will not be back.
First time going and was very impressed with both the food and the service!
Was an incredible venue for an awesome show. Amazing sound and not a bad seat in the house.
When my wife and I arrived we were greeted by a woman that apparently was the FOH manager. She didnât appear to be enjoying her shift. No sign of a welcoming personality, something that is expected in food service professionals that work the FOH. There were approximately 14 tables, most of which had an average of two to four people each table. There were 4 servers. The service was noticeably chaotic. It took longer than it should have to receive waters and menus. The waters were delivered by a server from another section. Took a while to receive our drinks. The food was very good! And prices were reasonable. Our server was very friendly. As a side note, I should mention that I have spent over 20 years as a professional in food service and have worked both front and back of the house. So, I get that there are those times during service when the rhythm isnât happening. But, this is THE Holland Center! A world renowned, acoustic masterpiece when it comes to entertainment venues! So, the restaurant that is housed in there, should have professionals who are âonâ at all times! You should be freaking rockstars when on the floor! We will dine there again, I just hope that the night goes better for the FOH staff.
