Food took over an hour to come to the table. We were not informed of how much sushi was backed up. Was good though.
We waited 50 minutes to receive our meal while watching larger groups of people coming in after we have ordered and then getting their food before us. It was not even busy and in my party of 2 we only ordered a few rolls of sushi. The Nigiri was not quality fish and unfortunately disappointed us.

Our waitress was very nice. Not her fault the kitchen was backed up and took almost an hour for our food. Sushi was fine. Lo Mein chicken had absolutely no flavor and chicken appeared to be boiled, which did not help with the lack of flavor.
I like Hiro 88 for cocktails & apps, boyfriend goes for the sushi. We always order the shishito peppers. Service is quick and professional.
One of the worst dining experiences we have had. After ordering our meals, we waited over an hour to get our food. Only once after 40 minutes did the server come over and even mention anything about the delay, and that was after we flagged down a busboy to ask. He claimed they messed up the order. However even our edamame took over 30 min to arrive. We saw 3 other couples come in, order, get their food, and actually leave before our meal arrived. When leaving we spoke to the manager who claimed he was at aware of the delay and apologized. If the manager is aware, I was quite surprised he would not stop over to our table to apologize for the delay. Even getting a refill on my iced tea took 15 minutes and sat empty most of the evening. When the bill came, we were certainly expecting some sort of gesture for the disaster, but nothing. Incredibly disappointing and we will never be dining at this restaurant again.
Our party of 5 was seated for 20 minutes prior to walking out. We did let the hostess know we were ready to order upon arrival, but did not receive a waiter. We did have waters brought to our table promptly and even received a refill without a waiter approaching us. I get the short staff Covid excuse, but even the manager didn't try to rectify it as we walked out the door. Needless to say, we'll be visiting the competition next time.
Service and the food was fair. It wasnât terrible, but it wasnât great. Our server didnât offer to guide us to a different food option when he noticed we were not eating what we ordered. We had heard good things about Hiro 88, but unfortunately, did not have the experience we were looking forward too.
We sat at the bar. Wade and Ed both worked with us. Cocktails, wine and sushi were great!
