Immediately I was impressed when I read all of their reviews. And I didn't feel like grilling for memorial day. I walk in and read the menu; and was told that it would be 20 minutes before the smoked pork ribs were done. I sat in the lobby, playing on my phone; twenty minutes later, the person behind the counter called me up. I ordered the baked beans, creamy cucumbers and pork rib dinner; my plan was to wait until the next day to eat them. When I got home, I tried one rib without the sauce and it was so moist, well seasoned and delicious! The baked beans were soft and equally delicious; the cucumber creamy salad was delicious; and so was the cornbread. The whole experience was 100% and worth the money for excellent service and BBQ! I'm going back many times!! 5+! Mmmmm!
The food was fine. But service was rather rude. After buying $60 of dinner the lady yelled at us for drinking water from our own water bottle.....sheesh.
We laid out $24.61 for a 3 bone baby back platter (actually, 4 bones), with cornbread and sides of coleslaw and creamy cucumbers, plus a half pound of brisket and a refillable soft drink. The meat had light smoke and minimal seasoning. The well prepared ribs separated cleanly at the bite, and were delicious both with and without the mild sauce provided. In contrast, the chunks of moist brisket really benefited from the sauce. Without it, it recalled a very tender pot roast. Both side had a fresh, clean taste, but the moist cornbread needed something to bring the flavor to life. Lastly, they really need to hand out plastic knives to go with the plastic forks. We ended up breaking the brisket chunks up with our fingers.
Five stars hands down! If you are looking for fabulous flavor and food like no other restaurant Hartland should be your go to BBQ! We tried the ribs, they were juicy and fall off the bone.. just loaded with flavor. The explosion of taste in their baked beans are unlike anything I've ever tasted! You'll have to try them to see what the hype is all about. The potato salad has been passed down and is the Hart families grandma's recipe. You will love it!The green beans and creamy cucumbers are amazing too. This place is an absolute treasure .. they have friendly staff, incredible food and the place is very clean and such a cozy environment. If you're in the mood for BBQ do yourself a favor and check this place out! I promise you it's worth it!
We ordered the beef brisket with green beans, potato salad, baked beans and coleslaw. German chocolate cake for dessert.Well I decided on sweet barbecue sauce with my brisket sandwich OMG! Finger lickin good yall.
This place has the best BBQ in Omaha, hands down. They are friendly and helpful. If you get there too late they may be out of one thing or another but the prices are fair.
Used to be pretty good but last time l was there the pork was over cooked, dry and the beans were under cooked, crunchy. When l mentioned it they just got an attitude about it. I will not return.
As a lawncare provider in benson I eat at here every time I take a lunch break. The Food and customer service here is what brings me back. Reccomend it
