Best fish in Omaha HANDS DOWN! Good portion sizes and always fresh and hot. Plus, you get a piece of pound cake with every dinner. FIRE!!! I'd recommend calling your order in advance if you don't want to wait (as anyone should know with fresh, made to order food).

Joe Tess closed its doors forever, but Get N Go Fish on North 24th saves that infamous taste of Omaha. Fish, Jacket Fries and Cole Slaw served with Hot Sauce and Pickles!From the moment I walked in, I knew something was right. I was greeted by a nice woman behind the counter and a kind fella just sitt'n, chill'n and listen'n to throw back sounds of Miss Patty Labelle and Mr. Michael McDonald singing "On My Own". I asked if they do the Joe Tess fish, jacket fries and slaw and she said "Yeah. Yeah, we do." She then said her prices are better (and in this economy, getting what you want for a fair price is what it's all about!). I ordered that Joe Tess Twin.One thing my mother taught was to never judge a book by its cover. Get N Go doesn't have a drive thru window or a fancy dining room like Joe Tess did. And it's not a stand out building when you're driving down North 24th. But, none of that was what I was looking for when I wanted Fish, Jacket Fries and Cole Slaw. For me personally, it was like I just drove up to grandma's house. Get N Go Fish was like visiting grandma.Within 10 minutes, I walked out the door with my fish in hand, climbed into my car and drove away. First time there. Trying new restaurants and was told about this one. Very good food. Had fish nuggets, potatoes salad and collard greens. Yummm!. Next time a fish dinner. Seven up cake was really good too.
I ordered two cat fish filet sandwiches. I got cheated look like they took 1 cat fish filet sandwich cut it in half made two. Sandwiches. Wow. When did the filet cut down. I will not return I can get more at Cajun kitchen. Nobody going to pay 7.50 for half of a half of a filet. Very disappointed. I was there April 14. 2022. What got me is I got a sandwich for someone else they was disappointed. Was done eating in 5 minutes. For real. I always liked get and go Mr. Ford.

Really delicious food, everything tastes like someone's grandma made it. Haven't had collard greens like that since I was in Georgia, and I'm not sure how the catfish could have been any better than it was.
This place is the Business. Fresh fish, seasoned just right, huge catfish and nice size filets. Coleslaw, okra on point. Would have given a 5 but they ran out of spaghetti and jacket fries. Friendly customer service.
I would recommend Get N Go fish to anyone that likes good food and it's always hot N fresh when you get it. Never had a problem a great restaurant and friendly employees ?
Let's start with the positives. My customer service was good, plus with me being indecisive of what to order because they didn't have a choice of fish by the pound, however had large portions, the greens were delicious(I was impressed, although I didn't ask for it), my family liked the catfish, and the location is clean. On the otherhand, I ordered buffalo(which I grew up eating) and carp, but was told they were out of carp. When I tasted it it was clearly carp I had received. I don't like carp and never heard of it until I moved here a few years ago. My guy prefers carp and he said it was most definitely carp. So they had their fish confused. My side orders were wrong in both fish dinners. The spaghetti wasn't worth it, and I didn't ask for it. Suggestion, they need to show their customers their food before they take it home.
