This place is AMAZING!! Went there for my first time a couple weeks ago and loved the low light and peaceful atmosphere. It was really clean, and the staff and food were awesome!! They chef made all of our food right in front of us on the hibachi grill and he had quite the personality with food tricks. Tossing shrimp to see if we could catch it in our mouths and more. I had the chicken teriyaki and fried rice and it was so delicious!! I will be going back!
It was our first time here, and we wont be returning. From the hostess, to the bar tender, to the waiter to the chef. Every single individual let us down.Hostess- seemed irritated and short with us.Bartender- made great drinks but when he spoke he was mumbling/whispering and would get mad when asked to repeat or would just walk away.Waiter- was very kind and mostly good, forgot our edamame and we were told we would get shrimp as a part of the meal and we didn’t.Chef- to be fair we were told after that it was his first table ever, so he was nervous. But he made a tasteless joke about if my husband and I were celebrating a divorce. Then was quite the rest of the time. The food was over seasoned, the chicken tasted and had the same texture as the frozen chicken you get from sans club. The chef dropped half my veggies before reaching my plate and never got me more he just discarded the dropped veggies.I came for sushi because google said they have sushi on their menu -they don’t.Like I said it was a bad experience all around.
Food was great even though they ran out of potstickers scallops & Salmon RICK you were awesome!!! Made réservations & we still waited 2 hours
Last night was our first time going to Genji and we were blown away by our experience. The food was absolutely amazing and our chef Oscar was hilarious throughout the whole night. He put on a show the whole time and we had so much fun. Can't wait to go back again!
I don’t even know where to begin, my family and I have been eating at Genji’s for years and over the last few months the service has taken a turn for the worst. Tonight was finally the last straw, the Manger Jermey was very rude and had a spicy attitude. As we checked in he told us that we were supposed to be there 15 minutes prior to our reservation and he had to wait a literal hour to be seated! STRIKE 1! Then once we sat down and ordered appetizers they took 40 mins to come out.The appetizers were great especially the dynamite shrimp. Our drinks also took an a while to come out. Once our drinks finally got there the cook took an additional 20 mins to come so we had been there for a total of 2 hours before getting served. When he came out his cart was under prepped. They ran out of noodles and our whole table had order noodles. There wasn’t enough eggs, rice, chicken, or vegetables on the cart. The cook was great and the best part of the night. After we ate another cook opened the door beside our table to store his equipment. There was a huge hole leading to outside! We were so disgusted (pictures in review). STRIKE 2My Aunt asked one of the servers that was walking by for something and before she could even ask he smacked his hands together and threw them in the air. Once he was confronted about it he acted like he didn’t do it. When it was brought up to the same Manger (JERMEY) he said nothing. STRIKE 3! Tonight was a horrible experience and we will never eat there again.
We went for a Birthday Celebration. Party of 10. Antonio was our cook and he was awesome. Most of us liked our food here as well. We did however have egg shells in our rice and my daughter Chomped down on a piece of steel. The cook acknowledged the steel and said he knew exactly where it came from. I decided to call Genji and have tried a couple of times. All I received was a recording so I have not talked to anyone yet. We spent over $300.00 here and would like to speak to someone about the steel and egg shells in our food.
Let me start by saying my kids and I LOVED the grill experience. Our cook Brandon was extremely personable, very funny, engaging and was great with keeping everyone involved and laughing. However the service from the wait staff fell very short. Somehow at our table they forgot to give us the 3 section sauce cups. We were already almost done eating when our cook noticed and hunted them down for us. We were 1 fork short for the table so my son and I shared a fork the entire time even after asking multiple servers for a fork. Most of our drinks sat empty and at one point a member of our table returned to the waiting area bar to get drinks refilled. My sisters Crab Rangoons never showed up untill an hour later after she reminded 2 different servers. When the cook was done, he left and said our server would be over soon. We sat for almost 20 minutes with no one bringing our checks. We finally flagged down a server (not ours) and she attempted to split our checks. Our server finally showed up and took about 15 minutes to come back with checks for us. It was the longest 3 hour dinner of my life. Also our checks were a mess. After explaining to 2 servers how to split them, we all ended up paying for others people's items just to be able to leave because we didn't want to wait another 15 minutes to leave. We had a 6pm reservation and showed up at 545. We didn't get seated until after 7.10/10 would go back for Brandon.2/10 would go back based on service.

Rude help. Said you need a reservation but only had two tables full. Turned away a family of six. It was like they didn’t want to serve anyone.
Party of 5. We were aware that the establishment was short staffed. Being considerate of that we were patient & understanding just wanted to celebrate our sisters birthday and have a nice evening out. Firstly, our waitress “Courtney” was intolerable. She was not friendly or prompt, not communicative with us or with the kitchen. It took 30 minutes to get drinks and another hour to get our food. She did not clear our table or refill our glasses. She avoided our table and was MI
