I usually only come here, but haven't in a while. Stopped in to get 5 lunch combos, they messed up our order, had to wait. Got home and they still messed up our order. Very Disappointed in the food, my Chile relleno was Good but my Chicken enchilada was nasty, the meat was all fat. I will not be back
Omaha has many great Mexican restaurants and this is the best. Complimentary chips & salsa feature homemade tortilla chips and five different salsas. The Cubano was fresh and delicious. Great place!
This place had been here for years. It's just a little hole in the wall spot, but they serve good food. They bring out complementary chips and a spread of salsas for you to munch on while you figure out what you want to order. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on their menu. It's all pretty good.
Food was very good. But their sauces they brought out with the chips were fabulous. I enjoyed myself.
I wouldn’t recommend the tacos. For my liking there’s to many tables and hard to walk around if it is full. Food is ok I like the tortas pretty much it. Tacos went down hill I had to take out the tortillas they are not good.
I was tempted to try this place because the food looks great but my order was incomplete and I was overcharged.I tried to work with the waitress but she acted as if I was stupid or something.I honestly don't recommend this place. Glad there are other Mexican restaurants to choose from.
Always great food and a nice variety on the menu!
I have been going to El Rancho for at least 20 years the employees there are very nice but more importantly they are my favorite Mexican restaurant their tortillas are homemade and their chili verde is the best in town. No other Mexican restaurant even comes close. You definitely need to go to South Omaha and try this place out absolutely wonderful authentic Mexican Cuisine at a fair price. God bless the owner of El Rancho
This is an authentic Mexican restaurant. It is kind of dark. The furnishings are outdated (but it is clean), You will not find queso or drunk twenty-something white people celebrating with margaritas. You will find top notch, authentic Mexican cuisine.
Excellent authentic Mexican food. The carne asada tacos with handmade flour tortillas were amazing. They are served with cilantro and onions on top as well as sliced radish and limes on the side. The sopes with pork were also very good. They were a good size and two was filling. We also tried a chicken enchilada with green salsa. While it was good, it wasn't nearly as good as the tacos or sopes. My three year old loved her dinosaur chicken nuggets. They were fried and actually not too bad. When you first sit down, they bring out a sampler of five different salsas with chips. They tasted fresh and each one was very good ranging from mild to hot. Do yourself a favor and skip the margarita. There was too much mix and very little tequila. The first one was ok enough to order another, but the second was hard to get down because the mix flavor was so overpowering and it was terrible. Our waitress was great and all in all it was a great lunch!
