Not impressed and can't even understand all the good reviews. Makes me think that they must all be friends and family. We ordered to go, got enchiladas, tacos and fried pickles. Enchiladas and tacos came out after 30 minutes ( 2 other people were here). Was not packaged to go so we ended up eating at the dirty table we'd been waiting at and had to order overpriced bottles of pop. The main thing that stood out about food was that the rice was good and a nice serving. The rest was very tiny portions of bland food, reminded me of a frozen tv dinner. No taco sauce. The 5 little pickle spears with coating crumbling off came out 10 minutes later after we were almost done eating. We spent over $40 on lunch, what a rip off. No way this place can compete with all the great Mexican restaurants we have in town.

very disappointing was told the jersey dag was amazing and the tacos were good but. the tacos fell apart and the jersey dog well was mainly potatoes with bread

Stumbled across this place and what an excellent find! Small, quaint, excellent food. Enjoyed the oxtail meal which was superb. I wanted a strawberry malt, however they were out of strawberries so the owner? Rrecommended blueberry. Never had one before but I have to say it was excellent. Must try when you're in the area

Really great food. I had one of the lunch bowls and it was spectacular! Very unique but excellent. It is something you aren’t going to get anywhere else in Omaha. It is in an unassuming shopping center but the food is way better than one might expect and is well above the average. I would highly recommend you go there. The customer service is excellent as well. The restaurant is also very clean. You should definitely check them out.

This is my 3rd time visiting this location. I am giving an overall score. The first visit, the flavor of the oxtail platter and beef strips was excellent but the portion was small. The collard greens (approximately 2 tablespoons full) and rice (about half a cup) were delicious but again the portions were way too small for the price. The second visit, I informed Amber of our first visit. The food was delicious but the portions were extremely small. Amber took care of us during our second visit.Today’s visit a different person was at that front counter. Everything was cold, the oxtail platter and chicken bowl with no dressing were TRASH! No flavor today! Highly disappointed will not be returning!

Came at peak lunch time on a Friday. No one was at the front counter in the empty building. (I assume doing prep work for dinner) when someone did come up to the counter which was a reasonable amount time.I asked it's my first time here what's good?I got a blank stareSo I asked againStill no answerSo I just picked the beef platter because it's the first thing that popped out of to me.That + a coke was $18 which I think I was charged incorrectly? The lunch portion was supposed to be $11. Oh well.I ate in, food was brought to me which is nice.My beef was slightly over cooked but full of flavor and the rice was fantastic. Green beans were 100 percent canned.Portions are large, maybe not enough for 18 but with food prices so high who am I to judge.I'm not from the east coast so I can't judge authenticity overall the beef and rice saved my experience. Not sure I would eat in again. Definitely has to go written all over it.

Great shakes, amazing banana shake!!! Love the shrimp bowl and the fried pickles. Awesome menu with lots of options. Kind staff too.

I tried this place for the 1st time tonight. I walked in to an empty dining room at 6:30. I ordered 2 pupusas and a steak taco. I was charged for 2 pupusa plates (when I only wanted the pupusas) but I was like “ok no big deal I’ll take my leftovers home.” I assumed a plate would come with some sort of rice and beans being that there is a price difference of $5.75Pupusas = $2.75Pupusa plate = 8.50I received my food and it was really good! Hot and fresh and the flavors were amazing. I’m not sure why no one else came in to eat in the 45 minutes I was here but I promise you the food was great. After I was finished I went back up to the counter and said I thought I was charged incorrectly being that I paid for 2 pupusa plates and only received 2 pupusas. The lady stated that the additional 5.75 was for the pickled cabbage slaw and salsa. My mind was absolutely blown!!!! Seriously 5.75 for a 1/4 of a cup of curtido and red sauce???? How is this real life??!!!I didn’t argue with her as I didn’t want to be rude but I am leaving feeling a bit played…. But hey, at least my belly is full and the food was good ?‍♀️

WOW! Just wow! Where do I start? Food was just like going to mom's house in a Sunday afternoon, fresh and homemade and cooked to perfection. This is a one of a kind spot in Omaha that offers up everything from Pupusas to Jersey dogs and burgers to oxtails with rice! The owner/cook was awesome and so friendly and immediately made us feel welcome. Food came out piping hot and in a timely manner. Kids had chocolate shakes that were thick and made on the spot. Definitely recommend and can't wait to go back, loved it!!!

Alittle taste of home when out in Nebraska felt like I was back in houston,tx food was great I wish the green sause was alittle hotter but it was well worth the stop.
