I came across this place by chance. And what a pleasant surprise. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. I sat outside. I loved the PB&J French Toast. It was delicious. The staff were very friendly.
If you are in Omaha, add this place to your list of places to visit! The service was outstanding. The menu is creative and unique. There's something for everyone on the menu. The food was ready in a decent amount of time, plated well and the richness of the flavors was incredible. Well definitely eat here on our next visit.
We had a party of 4 with a wait of about 15-20 minutes, around 10:30am on a Saturday morning. They have a wonderful menu with lots of variety. So much so, that we had a really hard time deciding what to order!! Great problem to have! Everyone was thrilled with their orders!! My burrito was so good!!We ordered: El Gordo Burrito, Breakfast Taco, PB&J French Toast, and Breakfast Steak Quesadilla.Early Bird also had a vast variety of beverage choices!
This place isn't *why* I went to Omaha, but it would be on the short list of "reasons to go back." This was a superb breakfast spot, good enough that we visited twice during our trip! All of the food was excellent, but the "Hash Holes" stood out as worth the calories and then some! See picture to get an idea of the ooey gooey inside that made these a pleasure to bite into. The first day, we tried two different omlettes-- the Traveler and the Woke. Both delicious, but if I HAD to choose between them, the Woke omlette was my favorite between the two. Great flavor in both and filling for a long day of walking at the zoo. The side of sourdough toast was soft and perfectly buttered. The second day, we ordered the bacon flight -- and I really like bacon, but unless you're a larger group, I think you have to REALLY love bacon; it was fun to try the variety, and the thickest option was similar to pork belly and perfectly cooked to melt in your mouth but I'd probably skip it next time. The cinnamon rolls were great too. We did not order the avocado toast but the table next to us did and WOW did it look good. I wish I lived closer; I'd try everything on the menu! Highly worth a visit if you're in the area.
This is one of the finest breakfast places in Omaha. The ambience is really good and the food is great too. Highly recommended place for breakfast or brunch. Sometimes you can’t find parking too close to the restaurant but the walk should still be minimal from wherever you’d park.
Definitely loved the Frenched cinnamon rolls!!
A very good place to go eat at. It is closer to campus. I liked the food. It tasted good and the presentation was good as well. It is a decently priced place and service is quick enough and good. It can be crowded as it is a brunch place. The iced latte was a little strong but was good.
My husband and I are brunch snobs and Early Bird exceeded our expectations! Everything from the coffee, mimosas, and food were beyond delicious. I was craving a mix of sweet and savory so I had the Chicken and Donut plate. The sausage gravy was the best I've ever tasted. My husband had a giant burrito and ate every bite it was so tasty. We were extremely pleased with the service and only had about a 10 minute wait to get a table. The restaurant was very clean and had an overall bright and airy vibe to it. We recommend stopping here while in Omaha!
Early Bird Cafe is a delite for breakfast, brunch and lunch! Presentation of food is beautiful! The Cinabob appetizers are crisp on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. Try a bite before dippng into the lovely powdered sugar glaze or caramel sauce. I had trouble deciding which was my favorite choice! The caramel sauce is also drizzled lightly over the pecan pie pancakes and puffs of homemade whipped cream. The Smoked Salmon Benny with hollandaise sauce, poached eggs and avocado on an English muffin is rich and has almost a buttery consistency. I personally like it a little warmer but it was amazing! The Triple Decker club had multiple layers of ham, turkey, bacon with lettuce and tomato with just a hint of mayo on a lightly crisped sourdough bread. The tomato bisque soup as the side dish had chunks of tomato in a thick, robust bisque sauce. Could have been heated a little more for my companion.Server Blake gave the perfect combination of helpfulness and privacy sprinkled with pleasant conversation. Outdoor enclosed heated seating also available. Brunch-in-a-box for 7 or more people is available. See photo.
