Chicken was EXTREMELY disappointing. It was fatty and very low quality.. To the point where it isn't edible. However, the rangoons were very good. I'd go back for the rangoons but I'd never eat that chicken again.
I've eaten here before and thought it was pretty decent (albeit average), but now that the place is takeout only I am completely uninterested in eating here. I realize that for a lot of people that takeout is how they usually consume their Chinese-American food (even pre-COVID19). Not me. I prefer to sit down and eat it there where it's made - hot and fresh. Takeout is just subpar and I mostly find it sad that so many people think the takeout version of those entrées is what they're supposed to taste like. Crunchy and crispy foods turn to mush as they slowly steam themselves in takeout containers, heterogenous flavors in entrées homogenize, food temps fall, and when you open the container you're usually looking at a mess. Normalize NOT getting takeout. You're really not saving yourself much time or hassle and you're getting an inferior dining experience.
For just 9 dollars, you can get a high quality entree with an egg roll and soup, which is pretty crazy. They give you so much for your money that I would even consider it to be my favorite chinese fast-food resteraunt. I would recogmend to anyone looking for tasty chinese food that fits your budget, as long as you aren't ordering for a lot of people.
Crab rangoon is mainly just fried wonton. I ordered Singapore Mei fun noodles and it consisted of very little Curry flavor and it was not spicy at all, Plus it was mainly just all scrambled eggs in it instead of meat. There might have been two pieces of chicken in it and a few pieces of dried pork. On top of that I ordered Mongolian beef that came with soup and I asked for wonton soup and they gave me egg drop soup instead. I would not recommend this restaurant. Very meager on the meat they add to their dishes.
One of our favorite Chinese restaurants. The food is always so fresh and delicious. Compared to the many other Chinese restaurants we frequent, China Bowl just tastes the best and we keep coming back to them the most. I don't know what it is, there food is always delicious - they must cook with more love than all the other places ?. The family and staff are always polite and friendly and we have never had an issue with any order. They are only doing carryout right now due to the pandemic, no delivery either, which isn't an issue with us, we don't mind driving there to pick up food.
YUMMY. This is the only Chinese food in West Omaha that I will order from at this point. It does not give me an upset stomach from excess greasiness that ALL the other Chinese places have here in Omaha!
To be completely honest- China Bowl has the best Chinese food in all of Omaha. You can really tell how much love and work has been put into their dishes. All their food is fresh, their vegetables crunchy, and their chicken juicy and crispy. All their main entrees are good, so I'll just mention my favorite side dishes. I almost always get their dumplings- lots of meat and beautiful, chewy, thick mochi-like skin. The dough is made from scratch and made by hand- and the taste is exceptional! It comes with this house-made sauce, slightly sweet to compliment the savory pork. You really can't get these dumplings anywhere else, they are exclusive to China Bowl! And don't even get me started on the eggrolls- big, crispy and absolutely mouthwatering. The seasoning and crispy vegetables inside it are really something. It really puts all those other greasy sticks from other Chinese places to shame.
Always fast and always great. We like to order it every Sunday for dinner.
The chicken fried rice was horrible. It tasted like plain white rice with some veggies thrown in there. Sesame chicken was good.
Not bad
