As you approach this unique restaurant you hear a gentle monastic chant. Seriously. Even the servers wear monks clothing complete with rope belts. The rooms are all individually decorated in dark, clubby style. And the food is delicious! I enjoyed the prime rib Benedictine with hollandaise sauce and a baked potato. Definitely check this place out for a unique dining experience. Good place for a romantic date night.
DO NOT BE FOOLED.At first glance, you’d think its a joke. However, the interior design is just fascinating. Our waitress was friendly and hospitable. Steak was 8.5/10, solid dry-aged ribeye. Really enjoyed the simplicity and taste of the green beans, it allowed for the steak to shine brighter as the main star of the dish. They have an extensive list of wine selections too.Definitely a special experience!
Oh my gosh! Best steak of my life!!! Everything was above and beyond tonight!! Dinner with husband, went for the new York strip. Service was phenomenal, however we had a great server and that makes all the difference (Jim)!! Medium rare grilled to perfection! I can't rave enough about how every bite of this steak just melted with flavor in my mouth and I was never running out of my tea or left needing anything thanks to our server! Overall 11/10 experience. If you like steak and are picky about the flavor like my husband and I, Brother Sebastian's will meet your needs!
We were looking for something local, not a chain. Read the reviews on Trip Advisor, looked at menus. Although Brother Sebastian's is still somewhat pricey, the food was fantastic. The dinners come with a one-trip salad bar, which is well stocked and has good choices. They also came with bread, choice of potato and vegetable of the day (today was green beans). We made a reservation, as we were advised to when we called the restaurant, but showed up 30 min early and they seated us immediately. Jim was our server, was at the table almost before we were settled. Gave us time to look at the menu but not too much time. I had the Queen's cut prime rib; so many times, prime rib has a lot of fat on it. This DID NOT. It was very tender. The only comment I would make was that there was no seasoning/rub on the outside. That's part of the deliciousness of the prime rib for me! Baked potato. Too much for me to finish. Husband had the NY Strip. First cut was a bit gristly, but states after getting past that it was very tender and cooked perfectly. States the taste of his steak was great. If we were in the area, would definitely go back. The atmosphere is great with the separate rooms, was able to talk without having to yell. Music was background and not over bearing. Jim was great all the way through the meal. Didn't rush, checked on us frequently. Great experience.
We were warmly greeted and promptly seated in one of the charming alcoves located throughout the restaurant, which allowed us to carry on a conversation with our friends without outside noise. The wine and drink selection was extensive, and I can highly recommend the pear martini! The menu offered meat, seafood and pasta selections, which suited our group perfectly. I ordered the chicken with fettuccine option, which was very good. Each meal comes with a walk through salad bar visit, which is a meal in itself. The desert options looked wonderful, but our meal was enough. Brother Sebastian's is an experience, not just a restaurant, and the menu has offerings for any budget.
Old school steakhouse with a facade and decor of a monastery. Steak was well seasoned prepared to proper med rare and tasty. Could have been thicker cut to be more enjoyable. Mashed potatoes were bland. The green beans were nicely seasoned and seemed fresh yet slightly over cooked, but still good. The cold dense loaf of bread was the weakest link to the meal and uninspired. It could at least be warm. Another style bread would be much better. The beer was inexpensive compared to the rest of the menu. The salad bar had a tasty red onion house dressing, which I was glad I tried. Retro to the 1970's it still have a salad bar with fresh ingredients and fine choices which made for a good salad with both spinach and iceberg lettuce. The fried onion crisps were a nice touch for the salad and the better choice over croutons
This is a nice quiet place for a meal. Cozy, intimate, special. I had the prime rib and it was very good. Salad bar is nice, wait staff was good and observant. This is not a cheap place but we enjoyed the food, atmosphere and the music.
We love the intimate atmosphere. The steaks are always top notch. Our waitress was there when we needed her but left us alone to enjoy our dinner when we didn't need anything.
Best steak I've found in Nebraska, by far, hands down. If you ever wonder what happened to customer service, this is where it went to! They are on point, fresh quality salad bar, bread made in house, and steak cooked to perfection just how it's ordered. I'll definitely be a regular customer
Aside of the amazing environment, the food is excellent!! Tammy was our server, and she deserves a 10 star for her service. We had steak, stroganoff and escargot. Definitely recommend it!!
