I know they miss the LSU Tigers coming to the CWS this year but Barrett’s Barleycorn and Pub is a great place for food and drinks no matter who is playing in town. TVs line the walls and a local pub feel with friendly staff. The star, however, is their food. Great selection of sandwiches and burgers with a killer line of Philly Steak options. I went with the Philly beef with jalapeños and boy was it good!! Huge to boot. My buddy had a double cheeseburger and he said it didn’t disappoint either.Highly recommend if you are ever in Omaha!Hotty Toddy!

Just swing through for a drink, but the food that I saw come out looked legit. The service was great. And the drinks were just right for the price. It might not be something to drive across town for, but if you are in midtown it's a great stop.

Great first trip to this place. We had the Philly and the rueben. Very generous portions. The atmosphere is cool. Plus I saw a poster for a Ween tribute band playing next door this weekend.

Great place to visit have never had a bad meal. Service always top notch beer always cold! Seriously great burgers and sandwiches.

Philly sandwich was off the scale!! Great service, nice outside patio. Great choices of seltzers.

Got the famous Philly here and it definitely didn’t disappoint. It was flavorful and the fries were crispy. Also got a side of their fried onions which came with a side of ranch - also really good. Wish the side would’ve come out earlier but it came out the same time as the rest of our food. Service was alright. The lady that served us acted a little pompous.

Edit: one of the cooks or owners came over and gave our group a genuine apology and reedemed our experience. It was much appreciated. This place has great food and is an omaha staple.I'm really disappointed in the way my group was treated when we came to dine and drink in. The waitress rachel was incredibly rude about us adding chairs to our table, although us doing so in no way blocked the aisles, or made our group protrude into the walkway any more than any regular table. There was nowhere to accomidate our group of 6 besides adding chairs to the normal tables. They offered no suggestions to accommodate us what so ever even after I asked how we can help. Kate tried to help us and at least remained professional. We also overheard Rachel telling the table next to us sorry if we were crowding then and they could move over if they needed. Being service industry and a local I am appalled by this experience.

Nice place. They were packed busy when we went it but they didn't affect the quality of food or service.I heard a lot about their philly and went out to try it. Was ready to be disappointed but my oh my did they do well. Both the chicken and beef Philly were exceptional. A lot of places do same flavors got different meat, that's not the case here. The food was good. And the wait wasn't bad at all.Food ✅✅Ambience ✅Service ✅Overall cost - ✅ worth it

Philly is awesome! Great place for a couple drinks and food. Fried pickles are the best.

I've been to Barrett's multiple times now. The first time, I tried the chicken cheesesteak. They marinate it in Teriyaki & Szechuan sauce. It's unlike any cheesesteak I've ever had before (and I've had a lot). It was AWESOME. For my second trip to Barrett's, I tried the French Dip. It was also amazing. The food is borderline too much to eat, but thats a good problem to have. I'll be back again to visit when the patio is open during nicer weather (although I bet I'll be back sooner to eat another cheesesteak).
