Food is amazing. Just go you won’t regret it.

My favorite is bolognese Bianca pasta if you look for a meat sauce. Squid link pasta is also good if you like red sauce with hint of wine flavor. Octopus in it is surprising soft along with loads of other seafood. The charcuterie board worth a mention too. Enough to feed 3-4 people and one of my favorite board in Omaha.

Went last night for my mom's birthday. The sides we ordered were nice, except the artichoke hearts were underwhelming. I had the risotto, and it was too salty, way too salty. I explained this to our server, and she explained the salt content had to do with using pasta water in the risotto. I repeated, it was too salty, and asked how are the cooks supposed to control the salt of the risotto if they're using pasta water to make it? The server got defensive, raised her voice and repeated the explanation about the pasta water, and treated me as if there was something wrong my perception of the dish, and was annoyed when stating she would tell the kitchen. The interaction ended without resolution, really, and although I let the situation go, I wasn't happy with the dish. Then the server continued to neglect our table for most of the evening, came by to apologize for neglecting our table, then neglected the table again by making us wait to take care of our check, we were almost the last ones in the restaurant. Please train your staff to handle constructive criticism of your food -- this is important. Although I think the server most likely is a nice person and under stress, it doesn't justify a lack of hospitality and an overpriced dish that was not prepared correctly. Avoli, if you're going to charge good money for your food, make sure all of your dishes are seasoned correctly. Once the salt is in the dish, you can't take it out.

Was in the Omaha area and really wanted some authentic Italian. Well this hit the spot and then some. I had the Squid Ink Pasta and it was divine, the pasta was cooked perfectly and the seafood was fantastic! We also had the meat and cheese tray and well just everything was a culinary delight... fantastic place to visit if you're in the area.

The service was good and the food was good. I wasn't overly impressed with anything, but the food was all decent and the atmosphere was relaxing. The flour-less chocolate cake was pretty tasty and the tiramisu was decent also. It would have been nicer had I received the coffee I ordered and had our water been filled regularly.

Avoli was very high quality Italian cuisine. Most entrees are about $20-25, so it is not that expensive. The Penne Vodka was better than the Potato Gnocci in my opinion. The chocolate cake and Gelato was very rich and is enough to be split by two people. The bruschetta was very tasty but was not worth $14.Overall, the restaurant is a candle lit, romantic setting that is very pleasant for dates.

Delicious! This was the first place I have ever tried octopus and loved it! I was impressed with the staff. The food was delicious. I honestly don’t think you can go wrong with any of the food. The drinks were delicious. We did get the wrong wine at first, but they did correct it. We also had an issue with an add-on to the meal not arriving. Luckily it was able to be cooked quickly. I don’t think I would add a side with any of the pasta dishes again though. There wasn’t much flavor to the meat, just a charred flavor that did not complement the entree well.We did very much enjoy the dessert as well!

Great choice for dinner! The staff is friendly and fast and the menu is small but mighty and has good options. I got the spaghetti carbonara which was a very peppery but still I ate every bite. Will continue to dine here from time to time!

The food was undercooked and service was terrible. Definitely not worth the money. $30 a plate, I expected a little more than undercooked pasta and tasteless chicken. My husband ordered sausage with his pasta and they brought it with the dessert without any apologies and charged us full price. And oh, you have to box your own food. This place was ghettoer than Taco Bell.

Went to Avoli for our anniversary dinner tonight. It was a wonderful choice. When we got there, it wasn't very busy and we were seated immediately. They sat us in the back, all by ourselves near the kitchen. It was very quiet and intimate, just perfect for us. They didn't even know it was our anniversary, so being seated like that was really nice. The decor was cozy and eccletic. The giant wine glass of corks was cool.We started with the salumi board and added honeycomb to it. It was excellent. One of the best we have ever shared. Just like a traditional charcuterie board, it came with 3 types of cheeses, 3 meats and assorted sauces, jams, mustards and such. The pork belly rillete was the best of the 3 meats which were also peppered procuttio and speck. I forgot what 3 cheeses we had. The sweet onion jam was as surprisely enjoyable choice. It was served with toasted foccaia. I regret forgetting to take a picture of it, but we were enjoying it too much.I had the spaghetti and meatballs and added fresh mozzarella to it. The pasta was tender and the meatballs were flavorful and satisfying. There was only about half the amount of pasta that I would normally expect for the dish, but I decided tonight that less was better as it gave me space for my dessert later(which will be an entirely different post)I also got more of the rosemary foccacia bread. It came with olive oil, but no pepper or anything to add to the oil. I really prefer the places that do fresh cracked pepper in the oil with the bread. My husband got the procuttio wrapped salmon that had kale, pecans, roasted potatoes and a puree I am not sure what it was. He also got the roasted seasonal veggies for a side. It was broccolini, sliced banana peppers, peanuts and a savory sauce. He really enjoyed all of it.We did not have dessert there, but all in all. I would happily go back just for the salumi board.
