Akarui has the best poke in Omaha, hands down! The ingredients are always so fresh and flavorful. The employees are also very kind and I love how late they stay open!
Discovered this neat little place by accident and it easily became a favorite place to eat downtown. Love the laid back atmosphere, yummy food, and boba. Their brown sugar milk tea is to die for! It’s definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area, it’s within walking distance of a lot of places downtown.
When you walk in, you can tell that this place, is trying really hard not to be really pretentious, which, is kind of a problem in this area. I appreciate that. However, the prices remain the same. This is a place in the Capital District and the prices are pretty inflated, and are a good 3-5$ over normal ramen prices.The Ramen was not especially spectacular. However, as this is a newer place, your best bet will be to try it anyways, as the broth will undoubtedly improve with time. The Boba was really solid as well, but, again, does not justify the inflated price.The Gyoza on the other hand, was amazing. It was crispy on the outside, and smooth as butter on the inside. You could definitely do better for Ramen in Omaha. But the Gyoza? 10/10. Just give me a platter of 20 of them and call it a day.
Ramen and Boba is the best I've had, on top of them being very fast service. Would recommend to anybody that loves Ramen and/or Boba. You're welcome.
Delicious and reliable! Everything is super fresh, the prices are fair. I’m still working my way through the menu but I’ve yet to be disappointed! I recommend the volcano bowl for those who want a little bit of heat, great texture and flavor. Every time I’ve ordered pick up or delivery, I’ve gotten my food quickly and accurately - not the case at other restaurants. This is my go to for ramen, udon and poke. Enjoy!
Awful! Anyone who calls this Poke hasn't had good poke. The fish is minced and is a mushy mess. Tastes like it has a large amount of mayo mixed in. I would not recommend. Ended up throwing mine away. What a disappointment
Date night with hubs checking out new-to-us, ramen and poke place. It did not disappoint. Great prices and food. Laid back and stylish atmosphere. Easy parking in the area and is convenient to other happenings.
It maybe just me as my taste could be more accustomed to the localized version of Ramen so please bear with me. I've had Ramen before at places like Jinya Ramen in Atlanta or Tindrum who recently started offering Ramen and I'd prefer the two Ramen places over this one. The chicken Ramen was supposed to be spicy but wasn't for me and it's kind of was missing some taste/ spices. The firecracker shrimp was actually on the sweet side instead of being hot. The shrimp was tasty but I was expecting hot.
Absolutely outstanding ramen ? I highly recommend this place, it definitely hit the spot for flavor and quality that I was looking for! Great customer service too! She helped direct me towards a spicy shrimp ramen and I'm highly satisfied with my experience! Will be coming back!
I loved this place! I loved ordering my food on the little computer and paying right there without ever having to talk to another human! The space is beautiful. It was a relaxing environment. Even though there were several other tables it was very quiet. I was thrilled that I had the option to use spring mix as the base for my poke bowl. I will definitely be returning. Thoroughly enjoyable experience!
