I will admit that when it comes to chicken sandwiches, we first look for Chick-Fil-A. Stopped at Costco to by a few items and got gas at the Costco across the street. Last time I ate on one was a few years ago in Kansas City as there isn't any in the Twin Cities (MN) area. As with past visits, you wait for a long time to get your meal, but it was well worth the wait as it the sandwich had huge chicken breast on a very flavorful bun. Puts to shame the copy cats like McDonalds & Wendy's. Order the fried mush rooms which were fresh and not frozen. Had a nice selection of sauces that Cain's & Chick-fil-A don't offer.
Leagues above canes. This place has the best chicken tenders in town, and I can’t be swayed at this point. Plus they have twenty-odd sauces, compare with Cane’s one. Toast and fries are better too! Haven’t tried the other menu items, but at least I have the option to, unlike Canes. Would eat here daily if it wasn’t so far away. If they had a central Lincoln location, they’d make bank.
Excellent food. Polite service. Having been here a few times the kitchen can be a bit slow when it's busy, but they make everything fresh so it's normally worth the wait. The atmosphere is a nice change from the run of the mill themes you normally see.
The chicken fingers were good but kind of small. The fountain Dr. Pepper was good, you could tell the mix was correct and the machine was clean! Since I don't really recall the fries says something about the fries.
For $16 I expect the meal to not be piled into one container. The wings were messy with sauce all over the bottom, making the tenders, bread, and fried mushrooms soggy. It was disgusting. I threw it away. Stop being lazy and use separate boxes.
Love their chicken better than raising cane's! The breading is less intense and seasoned well.
Just went to Slim Chickens and don't plan on going back any time soon. The whole place was dirty. There was food on the floor, trash on floor, tables were dirty, counter by pop machines was dirty. No employees cleaning. Chicken was just okay.
The side salads are good and reasonably priced, but why must they open the lid and put the dressing containers on your salad? Not very hygenic and sometomes the lid comes off and your salad is all over in your bag.
Great chicken strips and so many other options, I did enjoy the southern taste of the chicken and the place was clean.
First time ever going and it was very good. Fast friendly service!!
