Best sushi I have had in MANY years. Service was great. I really loved Mt Fuji and Deep Blue Sea rolls. I will definitely be back.
If you want the best quality sushi in Lincoln, then this is the place! Maybe your more into noodles, well then this is still where you wanna be! Highly recommend the King Calamari roll and the Yakisoba!
The decoration design and dining atmosphere are good, the food is delicious ?We ordered appetizers and rolls (dragon roll, rainbow roll), all good and very enjoyed.
Along with the delicious food (I had the Una Don), they had a very friendly staff. Our waiter went and found gluten free soy sauce for my dad due to his celiac disease and was helpful with helping him find gluten free options on the menu.
This is the type of restaurant that didn't exist in Lincoln 20 years ago. The quality of the sushi is great! Always love to find Uni on the menu.
When we first went to Shokunin, I realized I finally had found my place. They care about the quality of their ingredients, as well as the service. (Jason is great! Very nice and helpful when it comes to menu suggestions.)Everything I’ve ever ordered has been fantastic, from the nigiri, to the ramen, to the ‘fancy’ rolls, etc. I especially loved the udon - it took my back to a visit I had with my exchange family in Japan. There are many food options for non-sushi fans, and lots of happy hour opportunities.I highly recommend any of the chef’s choice sashimi and nigiri or the hand rolls.

My first time to Shokunin and was pleasantly surprised. Atmosphere is awesome. It smells so good when you walk in the door. Sushi and Gyoza was delicious. So fresh. Service was also on point. I have zero complaints. Can’t wait to go back. Sorry that I waited this long to try.
Of all the Japanese restaurants in the city, I would have to say this is the most authentic food wise. (Lived in Japan for 2 years) The sushi gets as close to the real thing for Nebraska standards. The staff is friendly and the ambiance is relaxing.
First time visiting at Lincoln and this place is by far one of the best and authentic Japanese restaurants in town! I’ve tried other places but this one raised the bar to the roof! Hands down with their Tonkotsu ramen and sushi, then top it off with great service! Would definitely recommend this place with anybody who craves for real and authentic Japanese food.
