I've always enjoyed this place but the last 2 times have not been great. The first time we were served our appetizer at the end of the meal, disappointing but whatever. The guy doing the cooking was just okay. Tonight we went, never even got our appetizer and the cook was horrible. He didn't engage with us or even acted like he wanted to be there. We had a pretty much all adult table but our daughter had never been and the cook did not do any of the fun things that you go there for. I was disappointed for her. Our waiter was terrible, he never checked on our table and I had to chase him down for a second drink. So a new place called Oishi is going to be opening up on the north end of town soon, if shogun doesn't step it up they are going to lose a lot of business. I'm certainly going to try it out!
Made a last minute reservation for 11 people and we were effortlessly accommodated. We always love the quality of the grill show and food. I would definitely say we receive consistent high quality in our food with each visit. We've ordered a little bit of everything and never are disappointed. The quantities too are impressive. You could never leave hungry from this family favorite.
First time customerService was alright, usually hibachi is fun and entertaining. Server seemed in a hurry, I ordered steak and shrimp and he forgot the steak. I had to wait for the kitchen to prepare it. By that time my party and I were almost finished. I will be trying a different place before I ever go back here.
It has been well over a decade since my last Shogun experience. I was a little nervous it wouldn’t live up to the nostalgia but it was delightful! It was busy and we were quoted a 30 minute wait but they had us sat within 10. The chef was friendly and entertaining and the girls loved the show. Everything was cooked well (filet mignon, chicken and scallops) and veggies and rice were tasty as well. Worth the price for the added fun in my opinion-plan for around $25/person. Be sure to bring cash to tip your chef, but he also told me he could receive tips via credit card when I asked. All in all a great experience and we will be back sooner rather than later!
Great place to eat a variety of Japanese foods. They really put on a great show while cooking the food. They do a nice birthday song if it's your birthday. Would definitely recommend trying it and will be coming back.
Waited 50 min after making reservations. Then most orders were wrong. No one came to refill drinks. Then charged the wrong things on the tickets. Too bad this place used to be good.
Good hibachi food, great shows, laughs and awesome staff. Please be kind and be patient as there working hard to make your dinner or your lunch as best as possible.
Well went there for another birthday party as the first was AMAZING! The second go around was not very good! Food and the chief was great but the waiter/cashier not so much! Had issues running my credit card as I was "short" on funds! Well I made a quick payment to have funds available and which they were and they still acted as my card was declined. We ended up paying on a different card that worked! Well after my card was deleted again this morning for a smaller transaction I did some investigation and found that they charged not only my girlfriends card but they charged my credit card for the same amount without the tip! I will be going in when they open to get this resolved! I will not be going back again!! Such thieves we have working in the restaurant business!! UPDATE! Been there 3 times and still have not gotten my money back! They keep asking for my name and number and never call me back! What a joke of a place! Liers and thieves!! I hope you will lose business over this!
I took the wife here for her birthday on the 20th had such a great experience. More food than ee could eat. A great show by our chef. Very fun and active environment so much so we decided tonight (21st) to take our children so they could enjoy the experience with us. Long story short it was very disappointing. Our waitress took our order and that was the last we saw of her. No clearing soup bowls, salad bowls and no refills. My wife took it upon herself to get myself and our kids drink refills. Chef was nice enough but put the vegetables on last after cooking the rice and meats. Kids were still hungry after all was said and done. Yes we could have ordered more but a 20 dollar meal should fill an adolescent.We will go again. Next time I hope I can throw up the 5 star.
It was the best we've ever had and we are picky! Great food. Great service. Extremely clean! We highly recommend it.
