I love Popeyes but these locations in Lincoln are garbage! The general manager here is embarrassing! I politely and patiently waited for this food to be fresh, I was given fresh fries and redipped (which is when they put already cooked old chicken back in the grease) chicken. The manager refused to make my food fresh & ALSO refused to give me a refund! I literally had the police called on my friend after she locked him inside .. after the police came she then offers to make the food fresh or issue a partial refund! I really don’t understand why she couldn’t do it in the first place! But when people are power hungry and have to tell customers ‘They are in charge! They run the show!’ This is what happens! Throw the whole crew away except for the nice elderly lady at the window, she is always great and I’m sorry she had to be apart of the whole ordeal— sorry her manager didn’t want to diffuse a situation by simply returning a customers money for food they didn’t eat!
Went to this location last week to get dinner for the family. The drive thru was backed up. An employee was outside on his break and encouraged me to go inside when I inquired about the long drive thru line. When I placed my order I was told it would be a 15 minute wait on my order. I agreed that was okay. Those 15 minutes turned into 45 minutes waiting on my order and what an experience it was . The young lady that was preparing the orders was using profanity towards the cashier that was taking the orders. No disregard to the customers that were waiting and could hear her The manager on shift was working the drive thru UNPROFESSIONAL AT ITS BEST.. She had pulled an empty mashed potato container off the line to replace. The cashier was removing the empty container from the counter were the manager threw it. The manager in turn snatched the empty container out the cashier's hand and threw the container back onto the counter where she had previously thrown it. I approached the manager and requested her name. She replied "it's Barb". I in turn stated to Barb "ma'am your manager that was very unprofessional the manner you and your staff have displayed". Barb just looked at me and went back to the drive thru. About 15 minutes later Barb came over to where I was sitting and apologized . Stating " you know it's busy in here and the cashier just started and we're short staffed. I informed it still doesn't excuse the unprofessional that has been displayed. W
We went through the drive thru today. My husband ordered a 2 piece chicken meal, coleslaw as the side. I ordered 3 piece tenders with a cold strawberry lemonade. Well the lemonade was frozen so I couldn't get the drink I wanted. We get home and we received one 2 piece chicken dinner and one 3 piece chicken meal. No tenders and the French fries were old. All at a cost of over $18! Crossing off Popeyes as a place to eat!
Food is fine, what you’d expect for a Popeyes. But this location is severely understaffed, wait times are awful, especially in the drive thru. You could be waiting well over 30 mins
I usually enjoy Popeyes food. Although we always go in as the drive-thru seems to mess up orders quite often. Today I went in around two o'clock. There were only three couples in the store. The front counter woman was pleasant, but we did not receive or rice and beans, and only received ten fries(yes I counted). This is said when you spend almost $10 per meal. Please double check you orders.
I'm not sure why we keep giving them chances. My Mac and cheese was a coagulated blotch of cheese like some microwaved an old cup and dumped it into a newer cup. And I have one Beignets coated in sugar and two naked ones. My husband's fries tasted like they'd been sitting awhile, he said chicken strips were ok though. We've had worse encounters with this place. It's not just the fast food employee shortage either, these guys have been messing up orders way before Covid. But they're nearby, we like Popeye's Chicken, and somehow keep convincing ourselves... Maybe it'll be better this time.Updated: Working for Door dash now. Got a delivery from them. First thing, they just locked their lobby now. No lobby service anymore. Was one of 3 cars in drive thru. Might as well have been 20. Guy ahead of us was told please hold, and sat there for over 5 minutes to place his order. When we get to the box, immediately asked how can she help us. So yay! Told we're there to pick up doordash, and waited.... And waited. After about 2 minutes we guessed she just assumed we were to drive forward. Started to inch forward, and she comes back on greeting us, and asking how can she help us. Tell her again, we're from Doordash. This time we get an "Oh ok, pull up. We'll have it in a few minutes." Get to window after about 2 or three more minutes. Told some dollar amount, had to remind her again we're Doordash. She goes into the restaurant, comes back in another 2 minutes. Asks us the name again. At least this reminder gets a bag of food for us. Our customer had to wait nearly half an hour because Popeyes Corporate still hasn't fired the whole store and populated it with people who want to/ can work.
This place has some of the worse group of employees you will find anywhere. McDonalds looks at this location and says "Sheesh their help is bad." Just ask anyone you know who regularly goes here about the service and you will hear all too familiar stories.About a month ago I do drive-through.Me - Hi can I have a Chicken sandwich?Employee - "Nope"Me - (puzzled) Oh are you out of them or something?Employee - "No we got em. That be all?"ME - "That's it."Employee - "I'll have your total at the window"When I get there no apology or anything about the rude service. You'd think that was the worse of it but it just keeps on going from there.He's talking to another employee. The window is open and says to me "It's like 489 hundred dollars or something like that. I don't know I didn't see the ticket". The total was $4.89. I asked for a receipt which he did not offer as I wanted to verify I was getting charged correctly. He seemed put out at this request. Maybe he was trying to be funny IDK but there's just no other way to slice this other than it was bad service. You want to joke with your buddies, fine. But for people you don't know at a restaurant is really pretty simple. Greet them, be friendly, thank them for coming. The bar is really low here. Clearing it shouldn't be this much of a challenge.I sent an email to corporate. 2-3 weeks later I get what looked like a canned response that they're looking into it.It's really simple. The food is generally pretty good but the people who work there are either incompetent or simply could not care less about their job or take any pride in being paid for work whatsoever.
Placed an online order. Said to pick up inside. Door was locked and they didn’t answer the phone. Line as wrapped around the building.I will say that online customer service was awesome and refunded it within minutes!

Did a mobile on Thursday realizing I forgot how busy they get cause of there deal they have on that day. Everyone there was quick, fast and friendly probably better then most fast food places.
