Went to LaMars in KC and two in Nebraska. The donuts are the same quality at all the locations I have been. In this location in Nebraska I felt it was understaffed for the time I went because there was a large wait. The donuts were great but the coffee I ordered was prepared terrible and ended up being trashed.
Came here for a couple donuts, left with a smile. Laura is a gem and such a lovely person! We will definitely be back ?
The people working in here are so nice. They work really hard and do a great job at it. The donuts here are unreal they are SO good. I love bringing them to work because everyone gets very excited. I love showing this place to people from out of state. We like the other donut places in town but nothing beats LaMar’s. The chocolate glazed donut is my all time favorite treat I could eat them everyday. I can’t wait until the next time I go here! The drinks are also really good. I only wish they were open later but it’s good motivation to wake up early.
We didn't get to see their full selection because we got there late, but the donuts were very good as was the coffee!
Five years ago, I left a 5-star review claiming these were the best doughnuts in the world. I grew up on LaMar’s (this branch, specifically) and even after moving away, still returned every year and made it a point to stop here during visits. Today, after several disappointing experiences throughout 2021 and May 2022, i’m here to amend that review. I understand everyone is short-staffed and times are hard as we push through this pandemic. However, doing away with some of their signature items— things that set them apart from competitors— isn’t doing them any favors. I’ve gone several different times and days- most of which were early in the morning (7-8am) only to find half a case-full of doughnuts available. On top of that, the options are very limited and rarely do I find any of the laMar’s bars, maple-iced cake, or any of the candy topped doughnuts anymore (which seems to me they stopped because when i asked about butterfinger, the lady behind the counter seemed confused). Just a couple of years ago, this place was often packed, and if your doughnut wasn’t in the case, they’d go to the back and dip or fill a fresh one for you! I wish they’d go back to that! Just make a bunch of extra plain doughnuts (original AND cake) and have the icings, toppings, and fillings prepared. Customers leave happy and the business (re)gains a loyal customer base! I’d love to make LaMar’s a regular again.. Probably not anytime soon, but maybe someday.. if they’re still open!
Had the best customer service I have ever had anywhere when I walked in she had a great attitude she was the only one working but she still busting her butt and apologetic for being the only one working and it super sweet and caring and just a great personality. Laura made my day so much better and I’m glad I got to meet her she definitely deserves a raise. Her beautiful soul is One in 1 million. Keep up the great work gorgeous! You got this! $20 tip was well deserved!
Haven’t had this place for a while decided to see how the quality was. Everything is dry and crusty like it’s a day old. Do not recommend.
absolutely the worst overpriced donuts in Lincoln! They were dry...tasted old! Never wasting money there again!
Where is my original LaMar’s ? I went in diff times in hoping that things changes back to old days but they never! I always look fwd to it & even take with me if I travel for families who knew LaMars’s but not anymore.. they had variety of kinds & even if the filling wasn’t available, they would offer to make it on spot so they don’t disappoint their customers.Looks like the professionals are gone or management have changed! ??♂️Please COME BACK
We usually have the best cream filled donuts when we get them from LaMar’s. Today they had almost no cream and actually tasted like they were day old donuts and we were there by 6:00 am very disappointed this week.
