Another Abe's, another outstanding dining experience! Great staff who's super kind and helpful with the huuuuge amount of options! With really special burgers with hilarious names, or any of the classics to make the whole family happy. Can't recommend enough, and if you're visiting Lincoln you have to try it! Drinks are also an option with a rotating menu and the milkshakes are great!
This was my first try here, after hearing positive comments about Honest Abe's from some acquaintances. Ordered "The United States of America" burger, the "Freedom fries" with the crispy option enabled, and a root beer float. Chose the option for curbside pickup. I arrive at the approximate time that was given for the order to be ready and replied to the text as it requests. I sit there for an additional 15 minutes watching people leave and go in. I understand they're busy but I call to see how much longer it would be for my order, and they tell me the order will be right out (and telling me when they brought it out that they were busy and couldn't see my car).I drive home, less than 5 minutes, and am basically just greeted by disappointment. The fries were quite possibly some of the soggiest fries I've ever had, and were partially cold to boot. I didn't even eat most of them due to how unappetizing they were. The root beer float didn't come assembled, with the ice cream and root beer separated. The root beer also had ice in it, so I guess block the ice from falling into the ice cream as I try to mix them to make my float. The burger was delicious, so I guess that was the saving grace. Overall, between the service, the disappointing fries, and the float not being a float but some ice cream and a root beer with ice, I'm not super keen on making this a retry. The burger was good, but this was a pretty sad experience for the once a week treat meal I have.
If you want to get full, well you need to go to this place and the hamburger size is big and they are delicious! next time when we visit our granddaughter in Lincoln we are going to eat here again. Great Burger joint!
PLEASE DONT TRY THEIR CHICKEN PATTIES. It was a terrible experience. The patty was burnt on the outside and undercooked on the inside. Their truffle fries and shake was good though. It was super expensive too.
My wife and I stopped by tonight on the way home from watching a University of Nebraska gymnastic meet. So just a few minute drive from the Arena.I love burgers and have become a pretty good judge of them and most of my review will most likely be a burger place. This is one of the Top 5 burgers tasting I have ever had!! Great tasting meat for sure.My wife and I both had the Hammer of Thor burger-chipotle cream cheese / griddled brussels sprouts / bacon mayonnaise / pepper jack cheese - allergies: dairy / egg / soyGreat tasting meat like I said earlier. The chipotle was just a hint of spice and the Brussels sprouts were grilled and crispy on the edges like they should be. Great tasting bun as well and nicely stacked so nothing was falling out when it arrived at the table. Nothing worse then all the toppings coming out the side or not even under the bun :-)Also we got Parmesan truffle tots and Parmesan truffle fries. They were good but noting to rave about. Maybe I would say the tots were better if i had to choose. My wife got the gluten free bun ( because she needs to eat gluten free) and it was a bun if you have it have one.The meat was a 5 star! The fries were a 4 starFriendly staff a 4.5and cleanliness was the area that can use some help. Table, floor and restroom were in need of some attention.
It was a good experience dining on this restaurant. Indeed the best burger and salad that I ever tasted while on travel. The amount you pay is reasonable for a big burger that tasted so good. Just like what others say, you can see them cooked your food while waiting. Though they eased out for mask mandate to customers, it was nice to see that the workers are wearing it for their own protection. Travelers, stop by on this area if you happen to be in town
Honest Abe’s is always a sure bet! The standard burger menu is full of great burgers, and their rotating menu of new burgers can bring some real changes to your standard boring burger experience. Plus, you can add an egg to any burger for just a buck! I love going to honest Abe’s. And if you’ve never tried the Parmesan truffle fries, you’re really missing out!
Loaded Fries disappointed. The fries were really burnt. I know the fries are typically well done but I had extra crispy ones.
Horrible burger, patty still raw, fry’s over cooked chocolate malt was the only thing good. Will not be ordering from here again.
Their burgers are fantastic! The jalapeno burger was great! Love that they have an open kitchen, so if you sit upstairs up front you can watch them cook your food. Was about $15 for a meal, but it was worth it.
