No humor in the wait staff, unappreciative of customers and watered down drinks
This place rocks!I always get the jambalaya or chicken creole and haven't been disappointed yet. Also have sweet tea there which is always a positive.Love taking my kid there too!Only con is that lately service has been a little slow due to what seems to be a lack of employees. Hopefully they can pay their employees more to aid in attracting more workers. With that in mind, highly recommended. Just expect a small wait.
I am reluctantly giving 4 stars. 3.5 is probably more accurate and here is why. The staff were professional but very average and not attentive. It was a take out order and they forgot the one comdent my mother wanted on her hamburger. My po boy was tasty but too few topings did not reach the edges of the bread, see picture. No one ever thanked me and 6 staff were hanging around up front and no one acknowledged me leaving. Alone these are not big things, but all together they left a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe they should only recieve 3 stars.
We walked-in and immediately were seated in a booth. Our server was friendly. We ordered the catfish and shrimp. It didn't take too long to get our food. It was hot and tasted very good. You could have free refills on your fountain drinks. Good Food.
Poor management FOH and BOH. Called ahead. Was told 25-30 min wait. Drive in, park and go in 15 min later to be told they are running out of most of their food amd only seating people currently waiting. Could of said that on the phone.
By far the worst Cajun food I’ve ever had in my life and I’ve lived in Lafayette Louisiana. The corn side was obviously from some kind of can. The nerve of someone charging $28 for a meal that has canned corn!!! And in Nebraska!!! Anyone serving canned corn and Nebraska has something wrong with them !!! I ordered a blacked ribeye and got an overcooked piece of shoe leather. No blackened spices at all!! And it’s supposed to be a Cajun restaurant??!! If you are in Nebraska steer clear of buzzard Billy‘s.!!!Absolutely the worst restaurant around!!! Never ever again!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Food was good but we got there during an event so they had a special menu so that was kinda an issue because it was mostly just burgers
Very understaffed because no one wants to work. But our waiter was super friendly and the food was really good! The desert he recommended to take home was to die for...some kind of brownie...if you go there...it's a MUST TRY!Didn't really like the dirty tables surrounding us the entire time, nor how long it took for a drink from the bar or refills.Otherwise it was good.
Had an absolutely horrible experience today for lunch. This was my first time trying Buzzard Billy's and I was super excited. We got the Armadillo Eggs and some brunch items (French Toast and Chicken and Waffles) since it was a Friday (they offer breakfast on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays). My hubby's Chicken and Waffles were good, but I was really disappointed with the French Toast. Instead of normal slices of bread this dish consists of 3" tall cut up baguette pieces, which were so overcooked they were hard. Picture browned, hard horse hooves of bread - that is what was presented to me by our waiter. I couldn't even cut into the bread because the pieces were so hard, eventually pulled them open to get out some of the bread instead. I threw out 90% of the bread husks because they were too hard and inedible. The Alligator Eggs were great...until we began to realize that the chicken looked pink. We commented to the waiter about this and he said that "Oh, that's just the color of the bacon near the chicken," but I think it's fairly obvious from this picture that the chicken itself was pink. I also gave some feedback about the French Toast being too hard and inedible, and they did not even offer to comp my meal or give a discount. Very disappointed in the whole experience.
Great food and Service. The burger was great. Nect time I'll try the alligator out side on their huge porch.
