Based on previous reviews, we made Kearny our pitstop driving through on I-80, and chose this particular restaurant because it was family-owned and not a big chain. However, I have to say the whole experience was pretty disappointing. First, the atmosphere seemed very much like a big chain restaurant, but one that is dated and not particularly clean. Our food was mediocre and we ended up not finishing most of it. Our server was inattentive and seemed annoyed by us.

Dinner for two on a Saturday night...Wait time 25-30 min.Hostesses: friendly and would even stop to bus some tables on their way back to the hostess podiumService: We got everything we needed but it wasn't memorable.Food: that's where my 4 stars come in, I had the prime rib, seasoning aside, the actual cut was very tough, had a lot of tendons, it lacked its buttery texture. However, it was very well seasoned, didn't need the jus. Baked potatoe was creamy and buttery.

I've always stopped at Whiskey Creek for years due to travel and have always enjoyed the steaks however the 12oz ribeye was the worst steak I've ever had from you. Your quality has gotten so low and I've observed it over the past number of years which is why your restaurant s are closing. You must be using Darden Restaurant's playbook because they thoroughly suck now too. When Texas Road House opens in Kearney,NE you will be eliminated there too. How sad that your greed has overcome integrity

Waiter had an attitude from the minute that we walked in he acted like he had better things to do than wait on people. The baked potato soup was salty! When he brought the bill my husband ask for a senior or Military discount and he turned and left the table like we were going to bite him.He returned, no discount, when we ask again he said we should have ask sooner. In a raised voice he said to my husband to just hold on, grabbed the money he had put on the table and left. Came back with a discounted ticket and change. Never spoke a word to us; left. Never said another word to us. When we walked out no one was in site . WE WONT BE BACK!My husband is a very proud Vietnam Veteran and was wearing his had that indicates his service.

Great service from the moment we entered. Sat at the bar to wait for our table, great bartender very friendly and made sure our drinks were made to our satisfaction. Moved to our table and we both ordered the prime rib, it was around 7:30 so we made sure that they still could serve us a medium rare, our waiter Bryce confirmed yes no problem, it arrived over cooked and a bit cold. We sent it back no issue what so ever, the Manager Nick came to the table and apologized, there was no medium rare left, so he offered us bone in rib-eye’s, awesome. They ribeyes arrived cooked to perfection and SO GOOD. These guys handled the complaint and fixed it. Way to go. When the bill arrived we couldn’t believe how well they discounted the the meal. We never expected that. Thanks. Once again thanks Bryce for the great service. We will be back.

Had our taste buds up for baby back ribs. Place was closing at 9 pm contrary to their website. Even the hours were posted wrong on the entry door.

We stayed over in Kearney, NE on 2/17. Decided to try Whiskey Creek for dinner. I believe it was Michael, #4106, on our receipt that waited on us. He did a fabulous job of waiting on us, even though the place was packed. Food and service was fantastic. Thank you Michael and staff.Larry and Jill, Watersmeet, MI

I received my salad after I got my entrée. I ate my salad so that I could take my entrée home because I didn’t want it to get cold while I ate my salad Waitress did not offer to refill all drinks just a couple of peoples. If we hadn’t of reminded the waitress that the children were to get ice cream with their meals they wouldn’t have gotten any

Great food great service was clean and cozy western look
