Great vittles. Staff was kind and courteous. I'VE never received a bad meal there. Their chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steaks are great and top off the meal with a generous hunk of pie, which they have quite a variety of(They could keep their men'sroom cleaner, is my only complaint.)
We were in town to get out of the semi for the night got a room in the motel connected to THE LODGE. Figuring it was close we went in to get some drinks. When we entered there was a small line so we added our names and sat and talked with a couple from there. While we waited a party of 8 came in and decided not to wait cause they said there wasn't any seating. The couple in front of us was seated and we waited a Lil while longer and finally were called to be seated at this time we stood and waited and another party of 6 came in and demanded a place to sit so she sat them before us and the waitress completely lost track she had called our name so we waited another 5 mins til she realized we were standing on the stairs waiting on her to seat us. She did apologize but it didn't stop there while we were looking at the menu's and drink menus it took forever to get a server to take our order. We finally got drinks and things seamed pleasant until we wanted to get something else and had to track down a server again we were basically ignored the entire time we were there. They messed up our drink order and wasn't very friendly. When the evening was over I had noticed the bill was wrong and had told the waitress she had forgot to add a drink. It was nice to see a lower bill but I didn't feel right cheating the business but even after all the trouble we had she still added the drink to the order. NEEDLESS to say we will not be going there again. As cute and cozy as the place was service was horrible!!!!
Only thing I can say is biscuits and gravy ..... Best in town
This is a cute little restaurant! We were greeted right away when we entered the door and was seated right away! Our drinks and menus were brought to us immediately! The waitress came and got our order pretty fast! Our food came out really fast! It was very hot! My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy special which came with eggs and hash browns, I ordered a scramble special. It was two scrambled eggs and your choice of three items, I picked bacon, onions and green peppers, and also toast came with that! Both our orders were delicious! I usually don't order hash browns with my breakfast because I like them crispy, I wish I would have ordered them this morning, my husband was wonderful! Despite the fact that there was a large table of 12 people our order still came out pretty fast and so did theirs! Not too expensive either!
An unpretentious steakhouse restaurant that serves good food, cooked to order, and delivered to the table hot with a smile.Our order included a petite steak with a loaded baked potato, salad and dinner rolls. The "butcher's special" that night was sort of a pleasant surprise... a16oz New York strip with choice of potatoes (mashed, I declined gravy), salad (bigger than most)and dinner roll (warm and tasty).Both cuts of meat were perfectly cooked med rare, well seasoned and sizzling hot to the table. We both liked our choice of potato, but honestly the mashed serving could have been a little bit bigger cuz they were great with butter!The serving staff was kept busy, but didn't keep you waiting for a return table check. They kept an eye on every table and made sure you were in need of something extra.It might not be the fanciest restaurant, but it competes easily with quality food, and the price was a bonus!Will be sure to stop there next time we make that cross country trip! And so should you!!
This place is trash and terrible. Horrible former owners as well as new. Don't waste your money here.

The server we had refused to take our orders. She took everyone else orders that came in after us and cleaned tables instead. The rearuraunt wasn't busy and eventually got served By another waitress. I don't know if the waitress doesn't wait to serve us because we weren't regulars.
It was an amazing breakfast! Everything was delicious, service as fast and friendly.
