We had a sirloin steak special with a bacon onion jam. I usually stay away from sirloin, but this one was a little bit tough, but very juicy and flavorful. One person had the sliders and they were good as well.
They're baked beans are wonderful! You can't go wrong with their sweet potato chips and dipping sauce either ❤️
Brisket was tender with a good bite, full flavor & subtle smoke, very light char.Mild, medium, & hot sauces all were fire with great tang and the right sweetness. Medium has the smooth kick at the end and hot has a quick kick at the beginning but rolls out smokey flavor after! The bread was amazing fluffy, flaky, buttery goodness paired with the brisket.Mushrooms were great flavorful, tender, & juicy. Mashed potatoes & ask for the gravy bc it’s worth it! Creamy and full flavor on both! Mac&cheese penne pasta with a thic, creamy cheese sauce Hits the spot!Don’t forget to take a chocolate chip bread pudding to go for breakfast tomorrow! ?Follow Tobes Brisket Challenge for more national barbecue reviews…?
An okay place to eat. Ribs are pretty good. Bread was dry and not worth the effort. Keep an eye on the check for up selling of items. Not worth paying an extra 1.99 for loaded baked potato or mashed potatoes. The Skeeter deluxe or the lesser would have been a good deal if not for the extra charge on 2 half rack ribs, hand sliced brisket, and pulled chicken. Server corrected the bill. While they were nice they could have informed us a head of time, along with mixing up pulled brisket vs hand sliced.
All their food was great. The bread was a little dry, but the rest of the food was so great the bread was not needed. You get full and if not on the first try, the sides are all you can eat. So if you leave still hungry it is your fault.
OMG!!!! This place is amazing!!! Prime rib 8 ounce was extremely delicious!!! Paired with sautéed mushrooms....fantastic!!! Brisket sandwich was awesome!!!! Bottomless sides make sure you don't leave hungry!!! Amazing place!!! Friendly and fast service!!!! Will be eating here whenever in the area!!!
My husband and I decided to eat here after church on Sunday. My husband ordered a full rack of ribs, and I ordered the Hawaiin chicken. When we got our food mine wasn't even warm. His ribs were mushy as if they had been cooked prior and then just warmed up. They were very fatty and had very little that was even edible. My husband told the waitress that he was not happy with his ribs. All she said was "okay" and seemed to want to avoid us after that. He wasn't mean about it, but when you pay $29 for ribs that you can't eat, it isn't right. I have been with my husband for 9 years and have never seen him waste food before. He will eat pretty much anything, but he could not eat these ribs. He left them on the plate and left hungry. I will say that my Hawaiin chicken was good, just not warm. I feel like the waitress should have offered my husband something else since he couldn't even eat the ribs. He came home and ate something at home instead.
Country-feel restaurant . . . lots of BBQ meal options. Interesting side options. Lemonade was great! Servers were super friendly and nice!
Saugage and m&c was good. Brisket and pork was dry. Potatoes seemed like possibly they had been sitting for a while. In defense, we showed up an hour before closing. I'd rather be told that they couldn't serve us though than be served less than perfect meal. Especially in light of the price of meals going up. Quality of food service cost nothing. The help was great though. I'm sure things are normally better. Just caught them at a bad time.
The food was great. The service was pandemic good. Prepandemic slow. Everyone there was doing their best and working hard but they were understaffed so service was a bit slow.Considering the current labor shortage, they are doing great but you have to lower your expectations.
