I ordered a pick up while traveling out of state. Order was supposed to be ready at 5:19. Waited another 10 minutes inside. I had to ask for napkins and they gave no silverware. I ordered Buffalo wings extra crispy. They were not fully cooked, dry and barely any Buffalo sauce on them. They came with two small pieces of celery which looked really old. The the meatball sandwich looks like you’re getting four meatballs, but it’s actually two cut in half. The meatballs were burnt and just did not taste good. The only thing I liked was the side salad. I would never eat here again. We threw half of the $40 meal we paid for in the garbage! Don’t waste your money!
First time to this location. It feels kinda run down. Bar area is pretty cramped and feels very dark. They were out of 3 of the first 5 mini tour beers I tried to order. Staff seems busy, but not swamped. My server was ok.I love old Chicago, so I will probably come back if in the area, but it would be nice if they were a little better.
Good is o.k., service was o.k., appearance of the dining area was (you guessed it) o.k. Kearney seems to have 2 categories of restaurants-- very pricey, and cheap "family" places. This restaurant is in the latter category. We're in no hurry to return.
If I could give 2.5 stars, I would. Three stars is mediocre and two stars is poor. Was really excited to try this place after seeing the amount of google reviews. The outside looks nice however the inside needs updating. The hostess knew We came in before another party (she made eye contact with us and we did not walk in at the same time frame) and proceeded to sit the party first. This is an fyi for the restaurant in however they would like to use this information. Once sat, both sides of the booth were sunken and uncomfortable. Waited about five minutes until someone approached us. Waited a while for our nonalcoholic drinks. We ordered our appetizer and entrees when we ordered our beverages. In an effort to order the correct amount of food, We were told the individual pizza was plate size. We should have asked which plate size they were referencing. I don’t know why we were told it was enough food for adults. We need unsolved mysteries Robert Stack out here because these pizzas were the size of a PH personal pan pizza. Yes, you’re thinking correctly. The ones we got for free in elementary school for the “Book It” program. FYI- the places I’ve experienced usually use this size on the children’s menu. This pizza starts around 12 buckaroos! If you want to build your own pizza it starts at 11.49 and each additional topping is 1.49. Still excited and eager, we waited at least forty minutes for our two personal pan pizzas. I will say my personal pan pizza was pretty good. It didn’t let me down flavor wise but the price and small size overshadowed it. There were other things that happened during our visit such as the wrong order placed on our table, extra sauces that never came, and there were no napkins, other than the one that came with the fork. They were not busy when we ordered.Happy note: the bathroom is clean.
Speg n Meatballs is spicy but has no flavor. Pesto chicken alfredo is bland, has zero flavor.Mozz planks were very good though and our waitress was very nice. The calzone and lasagna was good.We asked that the kitchen be made aware of our bland food in case something was missed in the sauces. They did take care of it on our bill which was very nice.
Food is good, but the service was very lousy. I had to call the restaurant to get our check and to-go boxes. Then had to wait another 6 minutes for someone to walk by so we could ask to pay. Next time I think we will just leave. Training new employees shouldn't make it take 15 plus minutes to check on your section. Especially when it's a Tuesday night and not a busy night
everything was great ? ???
Staff was nice and served me even though their kitchen closes an hour prior to their actual close time (which i didn't know as I'm from out of town). That is really the only issue I would have as the people who came after me were rejected food even though the establishment was still open for another hour. I got their hand tossed pepperoni pizza and it was 8/10. They do have a large alcohol selection and I personally only had Dr Pepper soda which I was glad that they carried.
Disappointing. Went with our family of 7 around 5ish. Was kind of standoffish about us sitting in dining. Waiter came, and took our drink order, only to have another waitress come to tell us they got their tables mixed up and he didn't know what we ordered. Took about 20 minutes for our food. When it did come, some was the wrong order. Most of the food that was right was bland and warm. Never did get the right food. The wings were good. But won't be back.
Pizza was quite delicious, but there were some hiccups in picking up my carry out order. Not much room to stand while awaiting the order. Order was in my hands about 20 minutes after it was promised. BUT ... the food was too notch so worth a try if the place isn't too busy.
