Balz was awesome as always! Quick to greet you after sitting. Friendly servers. Food is always served in a decent amount of time with no issues ( for me anyway). Servers are on top of the game and never pushy or bothersome. Yet there when you need them. Tables are bussed right away without notice. Food is always really good! Great place and have been going for 10 years. Nice comfortable atmosphere and a family type place as well. Great for after games.
Fun local Sports Bar. Great, reasonably-priced menu with many choices. The Jalapeño cheeseburger was fantastic. Plenty of screens for your games and walls are covered with signed, authentic sports memorabilia collected by the owner. FONNER KENO also available with progressive JP.
Wow! Fabulous drinks, fabulous service. In Grand Island for work and have not had very friendly customer service... Until we came to Balz Sports Bar. Best in Grand Island as far as friendly bartenders and wait staff. Thanks. Liz you Rock, we appreciate your kind and amazing hospitality. Employer of the month for sure.

Blue collar sports bar with a great menu. Weekly specials that are delicious. Service was prompt and polite but food and check was slow. You get a lot of bang for your buck when it comes to the food. Expect to spend over an hour at lunch times.
We a party of ten for lunch, the service was outstanding, I was totally amazed at how fast the kitchen was getting food out. They don't skimp on portions, and the food was excellent! I would highly recommend Balz Sports Bar.
It was busy (as usual), but the service and the food was fantastic. Great place to meet friends for a meal, with a bunch of TV's for watching sports and Keno!
We have been here numerous times and tonight we had the worse service we have ever had, we had to go get our own drinks twice from the bartender/bar for our table of 3 people. They weren’t busy like they usually were on most nights (so no that wasn’t the reason) we had servers named megan and Mariah, Megan was so worried about what her friends in front of us were doing and what their plans were for the night that she walked by several times without stopping. And our main server Mariah came to our table to take our food order and bring our food out before we went and grabbed our drinks that had been sitting at the bar the whole time, so Mariah came to our table a total of 2 times the whole night. We decided just to go up again to bar for another round and also to grab our ticket and check out. We tipped the bartender instead, after that she walked by several times and again never stopped to check on us or apologized for “being busy” or whatever she wanted to say. Might just hit up chicken coop like usual! Good food and great services always there!!!
