Umami is the definition of exquisite. We’re regulars here, and it’s for a reason. It’s an at home feel where it isn’t too uptight as many sushi restaurants can feel sometimes. The employees are quite possibly my favorite part of this place, like a cherry on top. They’re personable, attentive and always have great recommendations. We tried the pink lady this time we went and it was the best idea, definitely worth a try! The price for food is competitive to other sushi restaurants and 100% worth it every time!
Came in around 7:00 p.m. on a Saturday night. They seemed busy, but that did not affect our service or quality of food! ? We ordered about seven rolls to go, with a bunch of appetizers and soups. We got our food within the 20-minute window they told us it would take. They gave us extra ginger and wasabi like we asked, and our order was correct. The level of expertise and quality at this place is amazing. Love it definitely will be back!
Are ya kidding me with this perfection!? Matt was our waiter and a very amazing one at that. He always made sure we were happy and our needs were fulfilled! This sushi— hands down— TOP NOTCH. We will be back & I can’t wait! ??
One of, if not *the* best choice for Asian food in Bellevue. The menu is extensive and the food is great. I've always had good service even on a busy day. This place gets packed and for good reason.Their lunch specials are fantastic and I highly recommend trying this place if you haven't already

Honestly i really liked the Crab Ragoon, but the sushi and the pad thai was eh. Sushi barely had rice and was tiny. Also there are these big storage boxes right next to where people eat at the back of the restaurant? Real put off in my opinion
Honestly I don't know if I can eat sushi anywhere else after the tantalizing meal we had at Umami. The fish was so buttery and tender - the oh-Toro absolutely melts in your mouth. The escolar had a subtle sweet smokiness. The salmon was perfectly firm and oh so fresh. The whole meal was the quality of a prime steakhouse but at casual dining prices and atmosphere. Will definitely be going back.
Best sushi place in the omaha area. I recommend the soy garlic edamame to start. They do hand rolls which are great because the fish they have is awesome quality. They also have a well priced lunch special and lots of options other than sushi.
I tried the red curry chicken, it was good just a little too sweet for me. Sushi was very good. Great service. It’s not your ordinary Chinese restaurant. More of a mixture of Chinese, Japanese and Thai cuisines. I’ll dine there again, but chef… please reduce the sweetness of red curry lol. Cause I love red curry and if yours was less sweet it would be absolutely perfect!
The sushi is so good, but you need to do yourself a favor and try the other dishes. We went from getting sushi once a month, to getting their thai food almost weekly once we started trying other dishes besides sushi.Truly an amazing place. They are always busy but we have never had an order that was missing items when we do take-out.
