A patient told me about lil burro, and glad he did. Food and service is amazing! Wish they would open one in Council Bluffs. I strongly recommend lil burro ❤️
I have eaten here a few times in the 10 years I have lived in the area and it's always been a good place. Yesterday my son and I had dinner and I will not be back.He ordered Huevos Rancheros and I had the Snapper Veracruz. The food was just bad. We each tried a few bites and didn't like it. I asked for the check and the waitress asked if liked the food and we simply said no and asked for the check. We didn't get mad or ask for anything to be removed from the check, we just didn't like it.A gentleman came over and asked why. I said we just didn't like it. He began to tell us that the food is good and we were wrong for not liking it. He said that the Huevos Rancheros is always made that way even when i asked about it not having a tostada. He then told me that the snapper is one of their best selling and there is nothing wrong with it. I continued to just ask for the check, not asking for any money back.The waitress provided the check, took my card, and then returned dropping it off without a word.I am not sure why they were mad that we didn't like the food. It just wasn't good for us. I hope it is for others, but my 12 year old son and I got different food and both didn't want to eat it.
We love going to Lil Burro to eat. The food is always amazing. If you haven’t tried their tamales you need to try them. They are the best I have ever had. Wait staff is also amazing. Highly recommended you try Lil Burro if you have never been there.

Been coming here for over 10 years. Great place to get some very good Mexican food. They have great daily specials. The atmosphere is the best. Small family owned place that is super chill. Will definitely continue eating here. Highly recommend checking it out.
Salsa is super—fresh! Chile relleno with green pork chili is one of the best I’ve had. Fried flour shell tacos are delicious. Nachos good too! In fact, I haven’t disliked anything I’ve ordered here yet. Well worth your time to try!
Just moved here from Colorado where there’s lots of great Mexican restaurants. We discovered Lil Burro by accident simply because there were so many cars always parked there. Oh my gosh!! Amazing food, every single thing! Especially love their seafood enchiladas, green chili sauce, big green burrito with shredded beef, chili rellenos. Even their sopapillas are great, I don’t know how they do it, but they’re the best we’ve ever had. Not fine dining, but amazing food and the sweetest waitresses. Also, they grow their own peppers.
Not life changing but, dependably good food. Family friendly.
There's not a ton of nicer Mexican restaurants that offer drice thru imo. However, Lil' Burro would definitely be on my list of high quality drive thru! This place was so good!!!! Drive thru wait was not that long, very friendly staff! I ordered the seafood enchilada, a bit of a kick. Flavors melt nicely together.
Absolutely love this place and being that my son's great grandparents are regulars here, getting to chat with the owner is great fun. The food is amazing especially this one dessert that has this tasty filling, can't wait to go back for more.
