This is truly a hidden gem. Our first time here and I will definitely be back frequently. The catfish and fried chicken were top notch. The coleslaw was very good as well. All homemade. Our server Abbie was so sweet and such a hard worker. She made our experience there so lovely.
I will never go again. The food was fine, nothing special, but the service was non-existent, to say the least. I don't know what happened to the waitress, but it was apparent she didn't want to wait on our table. It took forever to get the drink order and another while to get the food order taken. When the food finally came, there were items missing. My son, who ordered something off the menu, was served fries and nothing else. When we inquired about the item he ordered, we were confronted with a "we don't have that." We did not fuss but did order him something else, which he eventually didn't eat. I don't know if the waitress was having a bad night or just didn't like the looks of us. I was utterly disgusted with the place, and I am still upset at the way we treated.
After church my son had me drive. So I would know how to get there. I came to eat dinner. He said lunch. The older we get my doctor. Said we don’t need to eat real heavy. I love the Catfish Dinner. He had two pieces of carp. My mother loved the carp. I always meet nice friendly people while eating.
Awesome food and a lot of it too. Definitely worth the money. Had left overs also. Our waitress was great ?
Always good. With that being the case, starting to get busier earlier. We came late afternoon on Saturday and it was already popular. A line was in its early stages of infacy. Hey, the food is good and the service is homey as well. Go once - you'll go back.
Best walleye around!! Have never had a bad meal here. Ben going here for years. Have well rounded menu for all. Must try!
A variety of menu items, but I went with the Fried Catfish dinner with Mashed Potatoes & Gravy & Salad.
Stopped in on a Fri eve around 7:30. Service was great. We were seated right away and our order was taken with in 5 mins.We ordered 1 carp dinner and 1 walleye dinner and it was served to our table with in 15 mins. The food was fresh and hot the carp was fried PERFECTLY.The walleye could have been fried just a tad bit longer to be crispy. The sever was excellent with great customer service skills. This was our 2nd time eating here and I must say both times were great ??
We had a reservation for 6pm and were seated at 6:45. Took until 7:30 to get a glass of water, after the salads showed up. Food was great and the people were nice. Just don't go when it's busy or you'll get lost in the whirlwind.
Amazing food, but what really makes this place special is the staff. They are friendly and make you feel like part of a family. Plus, they go out of their way to make families with children with special needs feel welcome. It quickly became our favorite place to eat.
