Food is absolutely amazing most of the time. I have been to multiple locations of this restaurant. They're all fantastic food, great price. Lately the staff has seemed more stressed out than usual. It feels like they are understaffed sometimes, which is typical these days, but I am not sure if that's the case. But I feel a lot more frustration, and hostility lately. I do not take it personally, this is not easy going, or relaxing work. But I personally have tried to refrain from asking questions, or doing special requests. As the staff seem annoyed, or in a large rush if you don't pull up and announce exactly what you want.
I went through the drive through, and sat for 30 mins before I was even able to place my order. I am understanding about places being short staffed, which is why I waited that long for the super fries. Once I placed my order, I waited another 15 mins. I paid and left, content with the fact I just waited 45 minutes for my food. I get home, and start to actually eat my food, only to find out that it's mainly just french fries, hardly any meat or other toppings. I usually love the food from this place, but I don't enjoy paying over $10 for a container of french fries and nothing else. Completely disappointed.
Food was excellent. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend giving it a try. Caution picking salsas or sauces, some can be a little bit spicy. If you like spicy, you'll love it.
Just very upset and frustrated with this locations quality of food and customer service. I live closest to this location and still try it occasionally to see if they have gotten their act together and am consistently disappointed about once a month. I love abelardos and have been a loving customer of their delicious food for years but will never come back to this location again. The workers clearly hate their jobs and just don’t care about the customers experience and quality of food. Only once have I been there when a manager (or owner of the chains was present) the food was amazing that day and customer service was 5/5. I don’t intended for her to constant have to babysit them but honestly if your reading this go through the drive through unannounced and try the food they are serving and the customer service you receive. And make sure to ask for extra sauce every time you go and even offer to pay extra and get 1green and 1 red still. Meat was dry taco shells over cooked and dry and half the protein you receive at any other location. I won’t be back to this one but sure won’t stop me from going to your other locations. Your food is amazing just wish they cared as much at this location as they do at others.
My favorite is the Diablo burrito, so much bang for your buck. My go-to for after a night out. The salsa verde is bomb. They can be a little slow so this wouldn't be the place if you want something super quick like McDonalds. Usually they have a huge line of cars and only a couple of people working to make all the food so can't really fault them. It also is a bit expensive, although you do get plenty of food.
Ordered steak fries plain with Only Jalepeno and Green bell peppers. They put Green Bell Peppers and Onions on it. I came back through the drive thru to get order fixed and all they did was scrape onions off the messed up one and gave it back. SURPRISE there was still leftover onions in it!!
My experience at the location in Bellevue was terrible. Super nachos and tacos were heavy on the lettuce and beans, but very little meat. This location refused to give me extra sauce when requested. I do NOT recommend this location.
The amount of food that you get is ridiculous for the price you pay. It's not just some cheap trash you're getting, either: Abelardo's serves fresh, high-quality food that similarly-priced places just can't match. Altogether, great place.
It has excellent food for every family member. Bring your kids! Or even just yourself for a bite to eat!
Be careful when using a debit card at this location. We purchased a Diablo burrito that came to $10.69 after tax which matched the amount on the receipt. After they gave us our food I received a notification on my smart watch that said I had just been charged $12.83. I asked the cashier why the receipt said $10.69 but my watch that’s linked to my card said $12.83 she couldn’t give me a straight answer but said she would pay me the difference. Come to find out she took it upon herself to give herself a 20% tip without my knowledge of her doing so. I reported this to corporate and they are investigating that location. This is called theft! I’m sure this girl working the drive through is doing pretty well if you consider she takes the tips home from the bucket attached to the window plus what she’s scamming off peoples bank cards.
