Came to Montana Club on Brooks Street on 5-29-2022. Had a table top of 17-20 of us. Was informed about an hour wait. No biggie. Got there at 5:45pm. Had a few drinks in the bar. Seated about 6:30pm. We where ok with the wait to be seated. We all ordered our food. (One person didn’t even get to eat cause they messed up her food twice, which was remedied with a gift card and taken off the bill) our friend ordered a steak it was burnt on one side, and cold on the other. Not cooked how he wanted. A few of us had the southwest soup. Always look forward to that soup. The chips where stale, and the soup seemed to be the bottom of the pot type. And again was cold. I ordered the Crab Dinner. The crab was par at best. The mashed potatoes where cold. There was so many issues with this visit. This was my birthday dinner. And it was not very impressive. Like all the food was under a warming lamp. Last year we came and had less people, and they put a mandatory 18 percent gratuity. During this visit there was no mandatory 18 percent gratuity. What is that about? We did still tip tho. Took about an hour to get our food that was subpar. And during pay time it seems like it took another 30-45 minutes to get our bill back with change etc. so from start to finish we spent about 3 hours there with 1 hour being waiting for a table. Definitely a very stressful dinner, and upsetting with all the issues.
Very nice restaurant with great food and lots of variety. The staff was very nice, helpful, and friendly. There is a great atmosphere and feel to the restaurant that made us feel right at home. We don't live in the area as we are traveling through...but we would definitely come back if we're traveling past it again.
Very nice experience taking our family here in Easter. Waitress was kind and understanding of our grandkids and took good care of us all. And The Food was delicious! Thank you
We used to love coming here for happy hour, but the new hostess (brown hair, glasses, young) is so rude it has made it so we don’t want to come back. Also not sure why the rules changed for bar seating, we’ve been coming for months and have just been able to sit ourselves in the bar area. The past couple times that hostess stopped us and very rudely told us it was hostess seating only. Which is fine if she hadn’t been so rude. The last time she told us it was a wait for a table/booth down there so we went to the bar too instead, where the bartender said she didn’t know why she wasn’t seating us at one of the open tables she had down there. I feel like the hostess is new and on a power trip and needs to work on her personable customer service because that’s all we really had an issues with. The bar staff has always been wonderful, attentive and great. If I could make a separate review for them I would.
very rude staff in casino, Justin made me not want to spend another dollar in the entire establishment. used to frequent with my mother and have lunch while we played, and during my days off would enjoy evenings there. today I was very rudely denied any sort of food after cashing out and returning after having to run an errand. I planned on having a bite to eat while I continued to play but was informed that unless I am playing 25 cent bets for a half hour ( this is 150$ if you are pressing the button 5 times In a minute) will be not be given anything. I had already spent over 20 dollars just earlier and even cashed out with extra money. i did not say anything and said that's fine, he then proceeded to order a cheeseburger for another patron that had literally just got into the building. I felt slighted, and feel as though I was almost profiled as I couldn't possibly afford to get the perks of being a active player. I have gone to Montana club and have always told people to go. But I will actively share with people the experience I've had with this establishment.
We went to Missoula to do some shopping. Afterward the family was hungry and we thought we'd try the Montana Club restaurant, as we've eaten several times at the one in Kalispell and its always been great. We got to the restaurant at around 2:50, well past the lunch crowd. The establishment was NOT busy. We were seated promptly and the waitress was quick to get us some drinks and take our orders. Then the wheels came off the bus. We proceeded to sit there for the next 50 minutes. At 50 minutes the waitress came and said she was sorry and that she would talk to the manager. Another 15 minutes went by before we got our food. We ordered a Pesto Chicken sandwich, prime rib sandwich, bacon cheeseburger, and Bison burger. The Pesto sandwich was pretty bland and tasteless, but probably the most appropriately cooked meal. The two burgers were so over cooked they were not edible. My daughter left over half of it on the plate. My son's bison burger wasn't any better, only he did manage to choke it down as he was starving. That leaves the prime rib sandwich. It was over cooked, to the consistency of Jerky, was bland and cold. It was literally overcooked meat and a bun. It's the worst prime rib sandwich I've ever had. Needless to say, I can't and won't recommend this place. In the future, we will find someplace else to dine.
We went to Montana Club for my birthday. We had a drink to celebrate my birthday. We ordered the Crab Parmesan Dip for our appetizer. It was very good. Hot and gooey! I ordered the Filet Mignon with garlic mashed potatoes and beef barley soup. My husband had the Halibut Hemingway with salad and a baked potato. My steak wasn't cooked enough, so they took it back and it came out perfect. We really enjoyed the meal and the evening. And it was great to get 66% off my meal. That is always a treat. Go to Montana Club and have a good time!
The decor was nice, our server was great, food was pretty good. Steak wasn't seasoned enough and slightly tough for a ribeye and price. The prime rib was very enjoyable. We were surprised by the massive size of the appetizers. Fries were the bomb, queso and chips were great, overall good experience!
It was a great meal, I got a Philly Cheese stake with a side of their daily festa cream soup. Very good. I forget what my friend got but his fries where perfectly crispy.Sadly I forgot to take pictures of the food.We dined in in the back near the bar. I tried not to take photos of anyone so I didn't get that many. Great atmosphere.I as a big guy sent not a fan of the high tables/ chairs but it was nice regardless.Staff is always friendly though could have refilled drinks a lil faster. This was understandable because they where busy so I'm not holding it agenda them.
Never coming back. Came in at 1120 with a party of 5. Not very busy but we were sat in the very back corner full of windows and no heat. By 1230 we still had no food, 30-40 mins after appetizers. We asked what was up and were given multiple excuses, "lost ticket" "We're just waiting on one thing", etc. Food shows up around 1240 and most of it's cold. We ask for a manager, we're told there isn't one there (at lunch on a friday?) and another server comes over with excuses about the servers window being drafty, yada yada yada. We all understand staffing issues these days but straight up lying to your customers is unacceptable. Good thing the ticket was comped because there's no way we were paying. It's unfortunate the food was wasted because of your incompetence. Only getting 2 stars because the servers were friendly.
