We are here visiting for the Missoula Marathon and heard great things. There was absolutely no disappointment from our family. My kids ordered waffles that were fluffy and light. I ordered the arugula and beet salad that was delicious! The coffee was perfect and smooth. The citrus green tea was refreshing. The kids loved their lemonade. We hope to make it back before we leave town!

My husband and I recently went to Catalyst for my birthday breakfast. We were seated at a table for 4 outside. We ordered breakfast and after we got our coffee, our daughter texted that she could join us. She was born on my birthday, so we were thrilled that we could celebrate OUR SHARED BIRTHDAY TOGETHER. We saw her pushing her stroller with our grandson toward us and asked our server if they could join us....(since we didn't have our food yet and we had extra chairs at our table.) She said "NO JOINERS". I explained our situation and asked if she could make an exception. And, I pointed out that only half of the tables in the restaurant were filled....with no line waiting for tables.) She checked with her manager. Her manager advised us that our daughter was NOT ALLOWED TO SIT AT OUR TABLE, that she would have to be seated at a different table. We then asked if we could all sit at a different table and our request was denied. Apparently, we were allowed to eat at the same restaurant but NOT AT THE SAME TABLE. After a brief exchange we all were ASKED TO LEAVE THE RESTAURANT. We have eaten in restaurants all over the world and have NEVER been treated with such disrespect. And for the record we live in Missoula and have been good patrons of Catalyst over the years.

Good in house, awful to go. The food is always good when I wait for a dine-in experience. Friendly staff and unique fare.Decent coffee, as well as yummy food. BUT...The food is terrible when you get it to go. It's badly packaged and not worth reheating. Not sure if huevos rancheros ought to be served in a soup turine? Not appetizing that way, at all. So nasty... usually so good. Don't take out! Only eat in!

Hip, cozy atmosphere and lots packed into a small space w/o feeling crowded. The hostess was amazing, got us seated quickly with no surprises. The server was top notch - knowledgeable, efficient, friendly and polite - couldn't ask for more. The portions were crazy big and the food terrific - lots of traditional choices and well as vegan, gluten-free and other specific dietary restriction catered to. We'll be back!

Love love love this little spot! Food was delicious! The wait was well worth it. And they said it would be a 30 minute wait and it was only 15. Staff was kind and attentive.

This restaurant is exceptional. Have eaten in and had takeaway and every meal is not only fresh, filling and comfort on a bad day, it also lasts me for 1 or 2 additional meals! Their espresso drinks offer depth of flavor without the bitterness of Starbucks. You will not be disappointed!

This place has amazing options! The chiliquiles are phenomenal! The potatoes are herbed to perfection, I got the breakfast burrito and ordered bacon inside it slightly reluctantly due to the $2.25 addition price tag but DAAAAMN it was a heap o’ bacon well worth it and super crispy even inside a burrito. If you are adventurous try their hot sauce of the day. It was so good we got two jars of it Togo! Obviously it will be different for you but it’s .75 cent TREAT YOURSELF! Staff was attentive, a tall blond gentleman was running our food and was helpful and communicative, our brunette server (Kel maybe?) was super cheerful, and was very on top of things. Secluded eating areas are also super encouraging! Eat here!

Decided to try a new place for breakfast. They are Service Dog friendly as long as the customer is honest enough to actually have a Service Dog. We got a window seat so we could watch the world go by. I got the house-made granola, yogurt and fresh fruit. They serve huge portions! I got a large bowl of yogurt, a bowl of fruit and a coffee mug full of granola. My husband ordered The Heap, it has home fries, roasted yellow onions, roasted mushrooms, roasted red bell peppers, fresh spinach, fresh tomatoes, sharp cheddar, two eggs and choice of toast .A huge breakfast! It comes in its own skillet and is served piping hot! They also make their own Chipotle hot sauce that they sell. Plus other goodies for people to enjoy. They are also an Espresso bar. Check them out and enjoy!

The disgusting excuse of Huevos Rancheros with a side of sausage I had this morning almost landed me in the hospital with food poisoning this evening. Just stay away.

Delicious offerings for lunch and all-day breakfast. My tomato lime tortilla soup was wonderfully flavorful, yet light (not greasy or over-salted), and the pear & pecan salad was creative and satisfying. Hubby enjoyed a variety of half sandwiches when he couldn’t decide on just one. It was a good choice for lunch when we weren’t in the mood for a heavy, fatty, greasy, or salty meal.
