We own a Mexican Restaurant in Milwaukee WI and while visiting in Montana were told by a couple of people that we should eat at The Camino. We did and we LOVED it! Their cocktail menu it so die for! My favorite was the smoke show; espolon anejo, vanilla agave, orange bitters, mezcal rinse (they make the bitters and vanilla agave IN HOUSE! WOW!) The two sauces they have are amazing there is a red sauce and a green sauce both are WOW!!! You need to order these they don't just bring them out. We had a couple of different tacos all were good on homemade tortillas. There is another review on the Queso Fundido that said it should be outlawed and they were right. That was my favorite food item we ate. Don't miss this place if you visit Missoula!
Best Agave bar around! Get a reservation so you know you’ll be in… ❤️❤️❤️
We came here 3 times in 3 days! Why? This restaurant is a gem. Just fantastic. Amazing cocktails (Anthony at the bar is wonderful) and top shelf food. Great atmosphere, too. And it gets jammed quickly, so unless you’re coming for happy hour, you should make a reservation.
Food was delicious, service was great. We had Queso Fundido, tacos, a quesadilla, and more. Don't believe tacos, even very good tacos, should cost that much.
My server was great, very attentive. I got routed there via Google Maps, looking for some place for dinner, not knowing what might be available near my Air BnB. I arrived during happy hour. He said the full dinner menu would be available at 5 pm. I'm driving a 17' Uhaul truck, and am rather crippled with arthritis, so I wasn't about to drag my carcass elsewhere. I was very hungry and waited the hour for the full menu. Well, not much was different, except now you could order tacos. Individual "street taco" sized ones for $6-$7. It was tasty, but quite a letdown from almost any Mexican restaurant ever. side note: I'm on the Autism Spectrum. I can't fathom why any place has music at a volume that makes talking difficult. I wished I'd brought my headphones. I needed to make a call and couldn't. I also have multiple concurrent disabilities causing pain, so the seating was not helping, wooden chairs. I had an $11 guacamole and chips, 2 $7 tacos. ( don't fret, I tip very well...none of my issues had to do with service) If I had been able-bodied, I would have left. But it was an ordeal getting there on my walker...I couldn't face doing that again.
Their tacos are so good!! House-made corn tortilla tacos with various different filings (personal favorite being the al pastor), chips and salsa, guac!!guacamole!!! You just can't go wrong!
This place has the best Mexican food AND drinks! The owner worked with chefs in Mexico to perfect their flavors, and you can taste it! I have not been able to attend their brunch yet, but it is top dining out priority! This is a wonderful place to meet up with friends or go to on a date night.
Super tasty! Loved the fresh take on Mexican. Their quesadilla is like no other.
I guess I’m more surprised a restaurant like this is in Missoula. Don’t get me wrong the food tastes really good and the service is great. But the portions are ridiculously small. I spent $26 and left pretty much as hungry as when I came. This Tuna tostada (pictured) was $15. $15. If I was in Manhattan I’d expect that. But Missoula? Again I can’t give a low review because for what it is it was really good but if I knew the portions were sooo small I would’ve went elsewhere. I didn’t even bother ordering another taco or 2 because I’d still be hungry lol. If you’re fine with dropping $50 just on the food to be full then this is a great spot! I should’ve went elsewhere.
my friend and I both asked the waitress and put it in the reservation notes that our dinner was for a birthday. My friend also asked the waitress to please bring out a birthday dessert at the end of dinner and the waitress told her that she definitely would. At the end of dinner the waitress went right up to the person whose birthday it was and asked if we would like any dessert this evening and never mentioned the birthday again or brought out dessert. The waitress was very cold and barely came to our table the entire dinner.
